Will there be any TATL all J carriers besides L'Avion and Privatair after Silverjet folds?

Well, there will be BA's new OpenSkies airline, with all J & WTP configuration on 757s.

I so called that before you. Wikipedia promises 4 rows of Y as well.

Five years of law school have taught me:

(a) Don't trust lawyers;
(b) Try not to dwell on the inherent conflict/paradox between pursuing a legal carrier and (a), supra;
(c) Definitely don't try to dwell on student loans approaching the GDP of certain third-world nations; and
(d) Establish a good working relationship with a cardiologist.

I agree. CO1E want to weigh in on this?

(a) Some are trustworthy;
(b) LoL;
(c) Federal loans are like free money, consolidated at 2% or whatever it is these days - it is better to take the full term to pay them off, assuming you invest the savings from not paying them off early;
(d) Add psychiatrist to the list.

OpenSkies isn't an all premium carrier at all. They're much closer to United's p.s. service. That (or the deep pockets of BA) may be what it takes for them to survive, but they are hardly an all-premium carrier. Also, their partnership with L'Avion is an interesting one. I'm sure that they'd be happy to see L'Avion fold since that's how they got the Orly slots and they may as well just own them outright instead of sharing anything.

I actually planned my Hawaii nested pair of trips based in part on getting new Flight Memory and airports on my list. I chose the EWR-DEN-HNL route so that I could add those lines and add DEN as an airport. And I've never done the CO service to HNL so IAH-HNL will be new, too. The rest of the flights (PHL-IAH and HNL-ORD-EWR) are overlaps, though the last HNL-ORD-EWR was on the $120 HNL fare from AA a few years back.

(a) Why think critically when you can stereotype ;) :p :D
(c) I intend to consolidate. I haven't researched this yet, as I was suffering under the impression that consolidation somehow accelerates your payment schedule or accrual of interest (or some other pseudo-negative consequence). I recall the Significant Otter muttering something about that back when she consolidated her undergrad loans. Of course, I wasn't listening, but merely nodding and saying "yes, dear."
(d) Never! I may wish to claim Mental Anguish damages someday, which makes your psych records fair game. Best not to have any ;)

Too bad Emory charges a bit (read: massively) more than stafford provides.

Portions of the post that previously appeared in this space have been deleted. I would provide you with a reason why, but doing so would likely be against the TOS.

That sounds like a good tip! ^

Would this be why my girlfriend refuses to put extra money toward her loans? I never had student loans thanks to the GI Bill, so I'm clueless on this. And as a followup, does making a separate principle-only payment help with student loans?

I don't know for sure , I just pay every month :mad:

edit: Its been over 5 hours and Im still at LGA
my 6pm flight to MSP keeps getting pushed back and they won't put me on the later flight which is leaving before mine because my bag cannot be moved .

Ahh...the pains of checking luggage.

Assuming you're not in on an AmEx Platinum and/or that you can find a willing soul (though probably too late now), the DL CRC keeps serving late following the WC shutting down. Last time I was passing through LGA on NW (VDB from JFK :D) I went in on my AmEx and the woman I shared a car over with bought a WC pass. Once they closed down the WC she was kind enough to bonus me in at the CRC where we continued our imbibing until departure time.

Thanks for the info

I am In on an Amex Plat , but now the front staff called me over and switched me to the flight that will depart first. They are putting all the bags on that flight anyways so it does not matter where the bags were before.
They only did this for me and made an announcement that anyone who wishes to change flights should go to the gate.
