Really? This sounds like an interesting story, is there a link?

I've seen Marine 1, the limos, etc. at EWR back in the Clinton years. Thankfully I did not see Airforce 1. We were told we were the last flight out before they shut everything down so it could land.

I once saw the Gore motorcade on the NJ TPK. I've seen the Bush 41 motorcade when he was VP drive by my dorm. And I use to hate it when Bush 41 would visit Philadelphia as I had to remember to park in the expensive parking lot because he liked meetings a couple blocks north of the office. The protesters just mess up traffic.

There is. I went there, sat down for 1 minute, and left immediately. That F lounge stinks, literally. It smelled musty and moldy. The food was pathetic. UA was better. I was very very shocked that SQ would allow such a lounge of low quality to exist in the system. But then again, HK is

That's the one I went to. It was a small roped off section and when I was there, they definitely did not have extra food options for F. I was the only person so the attendant told me to get the food from C

My experience in HKG was TG>SQ>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>UA.

Quite the opposite for me. I know UA RCC does not offer much food, but IFL does. In terms of comfort and cleaniness, UA was better. I actually stayed inside the VS clubhouse the whole time.

HKG lounge:
VS >>>>>>>>>>>>> TG > UA >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SQ

Uh, this is FlyerTalk, and The Box, no less. Man up and buy some tickets.

I know! I was looking at PTY but the FC seats are almost all gone. I may look at Florida flights! or Puerto Rico!

Yeah, after he requested Dijon. I guess some people enjoy hockey pucks smothered in Oxnard, CA mustard.

A lot of the F seats on the SJU flights are gone as well.

It sounds like people are showing as much interest in the super bowl as I am this year with all of the flight planning this weekend.

Definite burger-treason!

The other piece that bothered me was that Obama was not even on the 742s, he was on the 752.

I did. Bad experience but good and interesting reading.

Thanks for the reminder. My recordings from Sunday were all pixelating and by the time the Marine One special came on, I couldn't take it anymore.

I DVR'd some Two and a Half Men and the Nat Geo thing on armored cars last night and it was pixelating.

Maybe their current MO is the overcooking of their reaction to the perception that the rest of the world aboot Canadia being a joke.

That was one of the best post-golf stories I've ever heard. And IIRC Obama has kept alive the trend of POTUS's being over six feet. I think it goes back to (at least) Reagan. Clinton is about my height, bout 6' 2.5"-ish.

That is messed up, on many levels.

Nope, at least not that I know of. I don't think sbm12 ever wrote it out for display anywhere. rolov, sdm1130, and I heard it after our golfing mini-do.

That's because he wasn't even President yet.

I see. This is something that needs to be rectified post-haste! :D

The show talked about it as his first flight on AF1. That was not the case in either use of the term.

Anglo Large Clawed Otter Jan 27, 2009 3:12 pm

Anyone think 15,000mi. is decent for a one-way upgrade on an IAH-PTY flight that is showing C1 D1 Z1 A1? I'd rather not sit in the back for four hours, and I think I can handle the loss of 15K RDM. Essentially, that would just eat up most of this year's Extra Mile Bonus.

If it was Bush's first flight the definitions would have been correct. Because it's Obama, and to a lesser extent because he's of the media-friendly party, facts are mere roadblocks to a good story.
