Be certain to eat in the Clubhouse before departure.

Excellent choice. Flew that bird with SA and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed my A346 experience coming back from DXB. We used airstairs to board in DXB and it was impressive seeing the length of that bird.

Plus, on the bus over, I got to see EK's amazing collection of 777s from ground level.

Either way, enjoy VS - they do a heck of a good job.

The aircraft I'd most like to fly that isn't presently on my schedule of upcoming flights is the A310. I doubt I will redeem with OK before CO transitions to *A, so will likely have too look into an obscure carrier, like SATA (Azores' National Airline). BOS-PDL would look nifty on the FlightMemory.

Do they also serve good food onboard? I sampled some of the items on their menu at the HKG clubhouse and was not terribly impressed. But then again, could be just HKG.

TG F Lounge at HKG has excellent Dim Sum.

The food served onboard generally is not nearly as good as that served in the Clubhouses. The LHR Clubhouse has the best food of any CH; many of the US Clubhouses, like IAD and JFK, also have good food. CO BF food beats the pants off VS UC food every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

The food onboard gets mixed reviews, I find it ok, it is still airplane food .
Im usually so stuffed from the lounge meals and drinks that it does not matter .

You won't be able to do that at JFK, as the JFK Clubhouse does not offer spa services. Be sure to pre-book a spa treatment at the LHR Clubhouse for your return trip, however.
