rolov - how long did your recent BD status match take?

1 week for them to reply yes and 1 more week for my account to be upgraded.
They only process stuff on tuesdays and I did not have a DC number when I sent the email , I think If I would have sent a DC number with the original request , it may have taken just 1 week .

Hell, I haven't even update my personal Flightmemory with any of the 14 flights I have taken in 2009. Oh, and I forgot to get the tail lumbers of all four of my aircraft last weekend, then forgot to look up the ship numbers on co.com. I have been a bad aerogeek.

You won't be able to do that at JFK, as the JFK Clubhouse does not offer spa services. Be sure to pre-book a spa treatment at the LHR Clubhouse for your return trip, however.

Oh Darn..... I do remember baglady suggesting a massage upon arrival. Maybe I should look into that. Does anyone know if the revivals lounge offers massages?

Haircuts and massages are only available at LHR , you can pre book it ( they fill up unless you are Haircut Elite )

Well, I will be at LHR early on my return date, so I will make the most of it there.

Which seat did you go with ?

No seat yet. The change is not reflected on the VS website yet. Can you suggest 2 seats? I heard the ones facing the aisle with the wall were nice, which is what I am leaning towards.

I feel a little better now. Some friends in HKG told me Dragon Air was not all that special...

I sent mine in last night (with DC #) but I have not heard anything back today. I will probably need to wait until next Tuesday.

.

They claim to have a Cowshed at the Revivals Lounge , I think you can get a shave and possibly a neck massage . It is kinda small in there so I only stayed for a shower and some brekkie .

I should probably get around to redeeming for Upper Class one of these days. ORD generally seems to have decent availability. I'd like to try for LAS, if only to have that much longer to sleep onboard. There never seems to be any availability on LAX-LHR.

Yeah, apparently they have 1 person working the DC desk , that is why it takes a week for communication.
Some people on the BD board said they just happened to log in and noticed their account status to gold , before they heard back from BD .

...

There is a "beauty salon" in the Revivals Lounge that offers a few treatments. I think I had some sort of brief neck massage last time I used Revivals.

Oh, wait, Kindle book purchases do not yield CO miles. Never mind.

I dunno, I view the shopping miles as "an extra nice while I'm shopping there anyway" and not something I would tailor my purchases around. If the kindle would be a better experience than books, I wouldn't hesitate to go for it.

I was robbed of my bf experience in HKG. My BF upgrade did not clear until the gate and I could'nt get access to any of the clubs with a pc card

I checked out the NRT WC when I was flying BF back to EWR and it was nice, but unless I had a connection I didn't see much utility in it. It was nice to send an email to the car service that was picking us up though (caveat: I knew I would have lounge access so I deferred sending that email).

The East Coast flights tend to have much more availability than the LAX and SFO flights. In ORD, VS uses the JAL Business lounge - not sure whether it is any good at all or as good as the average VS Clubhouse in the US.

You'd be surprised, i've found a lot more availability on LAX-LHR and never on SFO-LHR.

I didn't think you could redeem for LAS-LGW since they don't codeshare on that route.

What lounge do they use in LAS , The PC club ? The Foundation Room @ Mandalay Bay :D ?

Did you go to the new NW WC located upstairs in NRT? I find that lounge to be (arguably) the best lounge in the entire Skyteam system - large, modern, plenty of seating, great views of one of the runways, a great selection of hot food, and a number of iMac's with chairs facing the windows so that you can watch the runways as you use the workstations. In fact, I would say that it is one of the best business class lounges I have personally experienced. I would hardly say that there was "no utility" in it.

Pulled ou the uc res on vs website. Looked like 14A and 15A is what we got.

The VS website says "Las Vegas: First Class Lounge, adjacent to Gate 3," whatever that is.
