the ruler story is hysterical

Has anyone in The Box seen The Who live? I'm being told that Roger Daltrey stands at center stage with Pete to his left, thereby making stage right tickets the most desirable. My ticket guy agrees, but my client does not. What the hell?

Is the revivals lounge at LHR available to people using miles for the CO codeshare? I read (on FT I believe) that someone with a CO-issued ticket for the codeshare was not given access.

I did consider driving to JFK for the experience, but decided against it.

I am not sure about the lounge with a reward ticket. I don’t think it should make a difference, but I read somewhere that it might. I called CO and VS a while back and got conflicting info. I am not going to be happy if the lounge is not apart of my upper class experience. If that is the case, they should make it clear when booking a upper class reward/ticket that you will not be treated as an upper class passenger.

Has anyone else here been denied access to the VS lounge with a CO ticket?

Mackieman, I'm sorry to hear about your car troubles. We rented a car from Enterprise three years ago and then popped the oil pan in Big Bend NP. Oil gushed everywhere and we had to stay three extra days in the middle of nowhere to get the car fixed. Anyway, going through MasterRental is pretty easy. You file a few forms and that's it. The MC are easy to work with. If I recall, MasterRental covers everything beyond your deductible, but you should probably ask to make sure.

Now, the Enterprise folks were a PITA to work with, probably because we didn't buy insurance from them. They did everything they could to make our lives more difficult.

Thanks for the notes. According to the MasterRental agreement I have, it says they will reimburse deductibles. When I turned the car in this morning, Enterprise took my $1000 regular insurance deductible and said their customer service department will call me at which point I can get a copy of the estimate from the dealer they took the car to and they will refund any portion of the $1000 that is not used for the repair. I don't know how much driver side door windows cost but I hope that it is significantly less than $1000. In any event, I am going to be proactive and start calling them later today.

Hopefully I can deal with my local office as well since they are down the street from me. I suppose we'll see; I'm filing the MasterRental claim this morning after my first meeting.

I don't think that is correct, the problem may have been someone whos is a PC member or maybe flying Y and being PLAT and trying to access the Clubhouse and being denied.
The only thing that some UC tickets (reward, and some lower buckets like R on CO or Z on VS) may not be eligible for are the Car transfer or Train Tickets.

It is shaping up to be another wonderful day for my investment portfolio. Thanks Wall Street!

Fortunately a majority of my holdings still sit in cash...

Alright, I've requested the claim with MasterRental and they are sending me all the paperwork. They have a nifty website that lists everything needed to process your claim, whether or not they have received it, and if they have received it, what date it was received on. That gives me some hope.

Good luck! I had such a difficult time with Enterprise that MasterRental seemed like a breeze in comparison. I don't recall how long it took to resolve everything, maybe 4-6 weeks? I hope it all works out for you.

I'm glad I moved my 401(k) to cash two weeks ago; I think I'll be leaving it there for a while.

I'm glad I moved mine in early March. And it's still staying there a little longer. Once things start to look up a little I plan on buying back in at low prices. So for me, it's a good thing if the market continues to drop some more.

But I realize for most people that's not a good thing.

IAH — Where is everybody?

I'm at IAH and this place is the deadest I've seen it on a weekday in years. How dead is it? There's no lines at any of the eating establishments in the larger E food court, and the majority of the tables are empty. Even more shocking is that the PCs aren't the least bit crowded, and the Internet is actually fast. I know this isn't good for CO's bottom line, but it's really pleasant traveling through this airport with the passenger counts lower than normal. I guess it's just a sign of the current economic reality.

Even more telling is ATL. The last four times I've gone through security there it's taken less than five minutes from the time I got in line until I was beyond the metal detector.

Same here. I'm changing jobs so I'm rolling over my 401(k) so I have additional investment options to hopefully catch it on the upswing. I suppose we'll see what happens.

There are some nasty people in first class lately. I was in 1A, 1B moved to the back of the cabin and the seat remained empty for the flight. 1E and 1F was an older couple, somewhat rude to the FA’s, and a little demanding. The wife took her shoes off and stuck her BARE FEET on the bulkhead wall. I just couldn’t believe how some people have no class. The same said woman also went to the lav, you guess it, with no shoes on. I whiteness people going into the lav all the time with just socks on and that is distrusting, not to mention without shoes, just bare feet.

No kidding. If that lady knew that I had peed on the lavatory floor of damn near every 737-800 in the fleet, she'd probably think twice. :p

(kidding, kidding).
