Thanks for the info baglady!

Why in the world is it so hard for me to spend miles sometimes? I think I have become too addicted to earning miles... :(

Happy to help! I don't know - I have the same issue - I have almost a million pts in MR and haven't used any in a few months - time to spend!

sdm1130 Oct 6, 2008 6:27 pm

VS also has some UC seats available from LAX-LHR. Would I be crazy if I did PHL-IAH-SNA / LAX-LHR-BRU-LHR-LAX / SNA-IAH-PHL over 5-6 days? :D Such a routing would take care of my desire to earn and my need to spend at the same time. No upper deck on the 346 from LAX-LHR though.

Only in The Box would I confess to such thoughts...

I've done upper class not on the upper deck and it was still a good experience; though not the same as the upper deck. Hey if it makes you happy :) MR BL is having fits at my latest tix :(

Agreed. I had one of the best Thai chicken dishes that I ever tasted in the LHR Virgin Clubhouse. there was nothing that they served onboard that could compare.

I had the VS UC agent on the phone tell me the food is better in the CH then on board and to eat up before the flight.

Hmmm....

I switched to an earlier flight home tomorrow. I'm all confirmed, etc.

However I can't check-in online and I'm not showing up in the upgrade que. There's 11 open F seats right now. If I don't get one I'm going to .

In other news, first ride on a 739.

Call them. If you changed the ticket online there's a good chance that the website screwed up and your reservation is out of sync. A quick phone call to the elite line should take care of it. Then you can check in online and get on the upgrade standby list.

I have to deal with this about once a month.

Agreed. I've always had this issue with changes, but they are good about fixing it after a few minutes.

Ugh...some pretty lame options for this weekend. BHM, ORF, ROC and YYT. :td:

I actually had called to change it originally because I was doing the 12 hour confirmed stand-by deal-io. The message I was getting online was an "out of sync" one that you guys referenced.

So, I called. After 3 useless agents I finally hit into one that didn't try to charge me more / transfer me to the internet help desk / ask me if I needed a rental car, repeatedly  and got it to work. (I had flashbacks to US there.)

More bizarro - I was able to check-in and it told me no bueno on the upgrade. Alright. Whatever. Battlefield it is. But when I went to the print BP screen I see I'm occupado 1B. Beggars can't be choosers, so I'll enjoy my warm croissant and mushy fruit from the very front of the bus.

Sleepy time. 6 hours before I have to go fight the hoards of cranky families.

I've had that happen twice - both times changed flights - but better to have that then wait for the battlefield :) Enjoy the families :D

You wanted to rent a car to drive down by me for golf. I'll let that speak for itself. :p

On the topic of golf, BHM rules for that. For anything else, - but the golf is reportedly spectacular.

You're right, CM. Who am I kidding?? :)

I thought of the golfing in BHM but my clubs are down in PBI until my next trip in November.

MR BL has a set at my parents, a set where his daughter lives (stored at his brother's), his play at home set and a travel set. I have my travel stuff, he has his golf stuff - I think he has as many pairs of golf shoes as he does regular shoes. He will occasionally rent clubs if he didn't take a set. It's sick I tell you - sick! :D And he complains about me taking a 5 year old on a MR?

Why do people keep dragging old vincom threads up this week? There have been 3 of them in the past couple days, plus BuddyPass's comment in the new FA thread. Fond memories, but also quite sad to remember his sudden departure. :(

And, yes, the co.com specials suck. I'm not sure I'd be allowed out this weekend anyways, as my sister is supposed to give birth any day now and my parents are in town for that and I'm pretty sure I'm expected to hang out with them while we wait, but I'd rather be traveling.
