Just FYI, I called the IAH Marriott, and non-guest visitors can self park for the DO tonight

---Insert MR deals 'don't call' joke here---

Space Center Houston. Though, that may be too far to go. Like art? The Museum district is a good place to go. Picture taking... hmm.. Good pictures of downtown can be had from this park. Other places to go are Hermann Park. Houston is not good for tourists.

I saw the list that busses run until 12 or a little later. Last year I stayed until about the very end, it was until about 11:30-midnight range.

I'm out of the box for the night. Off to pick up the +1 and head to IAH in a little bit. See everyone then.

Thanks. Maybe I'll stop by just to pick up the registration packet.

I'm planning a Whataburger run between 11PM and 11:30PM. ConciergeMike has expressed interest in going; I have room for four others.

Head to downtown and enjoy the beer selection at the Flying Saucer (at the intersection of Capitol and Main). The area around Buffalo Bayou (also downtown) has been renovated into a park, where you can walk and snap photos of the skyline. On the East side of town, you can check out the San Jacinto Monument (where the last battle for Texas independence was fought) and Battleship Texas. The Museum District is also a good choice. The Menil Collection is free, and is one of the largest private art collections on Earth.

I hope you have selected one of the good ones, where the grease traps haven't been cleaned in about 20 years. History is tasty.

Eat your heart out BlissWorld. Those WBC seats in the 330 are about the most comfortable C seats on any domestic airplane. The only better are row 1 in the US 330s and nowadays you have trouble getting those without an upcharge.

Agreed on the seats in row 1 on the US A330. I have been in those (without an upcharge) from PHL-FRA. I was refreshed when we arrived.

Due to overwheling exhaustion, being full from the buffet, and me having to hold number nine, tonight's excursion to Whataburger has been . All interested parties have been notified that a second attempt will be made tomorrow evening. All parties are encouraged to exercise restraint in food consumption during tomorrow night's party so that I don't wind up going to Whataburger by myself. ;)

Also, it was a pleasure meeting everyone tonight and I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Since I've slept four hours in the last 48, I am going to bed. Goodnight, Houston!

Well, I guess all the DO'sters now are aware of Mackieman's astounding lack of endurance. I think that you all should be gentle with that guy for the rest of the DO and see if a little TLC will allow him to redeem his heading for the sack at 10PM on a party night. :td:

I hope that all of you down there in IAH have a great weekend and wish I could be with you. But work has been rearing its ugly head this month and last and I am almost completely out of commission. :( :td:
