I absolutely loved that hotel. If the weather is nice, it's only about a 15 minute walk to some very nice restaurants/bars (in an area quite similar to Baltimore's Inner Harbor).

If I were you, I would rent a car. The highway and road system there as well-designed (if not better) than anything in the U.S. and Europe. They are a bit weird though, as they call traffic-lights "robots." Having a car is key for getting around for sightseeing on the Cape.

I definitely want to take some day trips into game parks on organized tours, but probably would rent a car for the days that I do not go on tours. Are rental cars there outrageously expensive as in other parts of the world?

DASH8-300. Not particularly sexy nor exotic, but certainly functional.

Nice.

Just enough time to add EWR-POS to The Box FlightMemory. :p

Speaking of, could you please post the info one more (yes, I know you've done it a dozen times already) and I'll post my flight since I've finally flown this year. Thanks.

IIRC, the Honda Accord I picked up from Hertz was about $40/day. Not stellar, but not terrible. Can you use National free days for Europcar?

The one Dash8-300 I've been on wasn't bad at all. A former LH plane with plenty of room.

Was this a North American Accord or an Euro-Accord, aka Acura TSX?

It was way nicer than any US Accord I've ever seen, so I'm guessing it was a Euro-model.

Note to self - when in Calgary, remember to ensure that heating is turned on in room. Beer will only keep you warm for so long.
