I'm giving them very little. I did jump on a $84 one way ATL-MSP-ORD ticket for the week after next, because I need to get to ORD to meet my partner for our UA LHR mistake fare trip. Could have done UA or DL nonstop for the same price, but this was more RDMs, and a chance to fly on a DC-9-30. The -30s are getting harder to find on the schedule down here, so I'll take a chance to fly it one more time.

Well, they were at least 3 days old. I asked her again and she said that they were cut the same morning

Indeed. The food options at Eppley suck in general, but your best bet is to get food before clearing security. Also the "B" side of the airport has better options than the side you would've been flying out on.

There's a really cute girl that works at the bar on the UA/WN side. ^^

Since when does serving Fosters qualify as operating as an Australian bar?? Do they get extra credit for Fosters Bitters? And they guy I am meeting who picked the place is late.

On the plus side, I've started drinking.

They sell Foster at Jerusalem Liquor store right down the street from me in Chicago and even at Jewel. So njet, Foster does not equal Australian bar

Having Shiner Bock at home waiting for the wife to get here. Those Texans know how to make great beer ^^

I had lunch at Karl Strauss so my drinking started at 11:30AM. Of course, there has been a little break in there for work but I've got some Shiner at home with my name on it as soon as I can get out of here.

We should have a San Diego brewery DO. With more than eight local breweries in town, it would be a very interesting weekend to say the least.

Fosters used to be for sale on CO flights, didn't it? That alone is enough to disqualify it from having any real use in the world other than as a vessel for alcohol. The Bitters version tastes slightly better, but still not really much of a beer.

The other options here are winners like Miller Lite, Stella, Hoegarden and Guinness. Don't get me wrong - those are beers - but they are not particularly great ones. It is hard coming down from the BRU Do high.

At the risk of starting a war.... That's debatable. Some of the TX microbrews are okay, but I wouldn't put them anywhere near "great" category.

Shiner rules! It's an excellent Bock beer. So at least some Texans knows how to make great beer

Before boarding my MSY-IAH flight this morning I walked right past Rod Stewart in the terminal. Then I landed at IAH and they were paging Carol Burnett in Terminal C (not sure if it was the Carol Burnett or just someone with the same name).

I wonder if Rod was headed to TPA for the big weekend.
