I see Biden has put his foot in his mouth once again. On some interview this morning he said people should avoid airplanes and subways because of piggy flu.

Morning Box.

I should buy my first house more often. I seem to have acquired several bottles of champagne out of nowhere.

Spent the first night in the new casa last night. Very weird feeling. It didn't really hit me until this morning when I got out of bed and knocked my noggin. Going downstairs (have to seal the grout upstairs bathroom ) to take a shower was very cool when I saw my kitchen, family room, etc.

I need to up the pressure in the shower. rolov, do you know a guy who sells black-market shower heads? I want one so strong that it can take the skin off an elephant.

Nobody beats the .

Morning Box.

Back from MCO, where I've seen better terminals in third world countries than what CO operates out of.

Congrats!!!

It really is a wonderful feeling. And the tax credit won't hurt, either.

On the water pressure issue, there are a few things that play in to it. One is the shower head (piece of cake to swap out) and the others are the pipes in the walls and the feed to the house. The easiest thing to try is swapping out the head and it is really easy. A pair of slip-joint pliers and a rag to make sure you don't scuff the fixture, along with some plumbers tape, and you're all set.

I had a good time walking through the lobby/casino at the Flamingo welcoming people to "my hotel." The people I was with insisted on letting me go first so they could see the look on everyone's face as I strolled on by. :p :p :p At Mandalay Bay I made people guess where we were staying (those who thought about it for more than 1/2 a second actually guessed correctly). Pretty much zero dinner followed by a trip to Red Square (Russian bar/restaurant at Mandalay Bay) was quite an interesting experience. You can guess what they serve at Red Square, can't you? The best vodka by FAR was an amazing potato vodka from Idaho of all places. Then again, that's one of the first shots I had... I lost count at about five. I convinced our CEO to take 20 of us into the vodka vault for even more vodka -- this time from Russia (It really was not that hard. He's a great guy). Someone had to finish that last shot, and who was I to say no? "I'll take one for the team," I thought. Perhaps that was one too many. Perhaps not. In any event, a good time was had by all. G=ood night John B:eek:y and good night b:rolleyes:x

It's a "rain" shower. I think the pressure is fine, it's just a wide disbursement of water that relies on gravity more than force. Plus, with my Stewie Griffin sized head, it seems to block the water from reaching anywhere south of my .

Blissy would be jealous however. It's very W-esque. I just need to buy some gin scented shampoo.

It's raining , hallelujah.

I saw that on the Today Show. Guess more upgrades for me.

I will say that the second house you buy the less goodies you get! :(

Glad to hear it all went through and happened. It is nice to walk up in your own place. The funny thing is, when I move from Stillwater the house is one thing I will miss.

Many congratulations, belynch. Rain heads rule.

Joe Biden saying that people should avoid airplanes and subways because of the piggy flu was not a mistake. It's patently obvious that for whatever reason (maybe that people are less controllable when they're mobile?) that this administration is anti-travel.

In piggy flu news, my mother's office received an email from Karisma Hotels stating that the entire state of Quintana Roo is a piggy flu-free zone.

While there have been cases and concerns over swine flu in specific regions of Mexico, there have been absolutely no reports of influenza in the Quintana Roo region (encompassing 16,228 square miles) of Riviera Maya, where El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels and Azul Hotels by Karisma are located.

The Quintana Roo State Secretary of Tourism reports that the isolated cases of H1N1 Influenza outbreak registered in the country have been located at the central and northern regions of Mexico. Further, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States, the Ministry of Health in Mexico and its counterpart in the State Government have not reported any of these cases to be identified in Quintana Roo.

We continue to monitor the situation daily and will provide related updates as developments arise and/or new information is learned.
That was as of 6pm Tuesday, FWIW.

Welcome to the world of home ownership and the endless list of things that need to be done.:D

A lot of shower heads restrict the flow with a simple plastic washer. Back in the day when one could carry actual tools on airplanes, some hotel's shower heads were mysteriously "repaired"

I picked up a bottle of that (it is 44 North) but it was boisenberry flavored or something else ridiculous like that. I wasn't paying attention when shopping. Suffice it to say that I haven't actually consumed any of it because of said error in my shopping. Maybe I'll bring it by for the Shogun pre or post party.
