Four of us will be there if baglady & Co can be ready a bit early. Don't worry about having any ice because that whiskey is too good to mess up with anything but a light splash of water.

That's Travelpro HQ, by the way. They were very nice and they also have a sale room with highly discounted slightly used bags.

Actually those bags are seconds. Many have only slight blemishes of the kind that you would put on them the first time that you used them but there are some with more difficult defects such as misaligned zippers, etc.

They are supposed to be sold without any warranty but if you have a problem, a great deal of the time they will treat it as if it were warrantied. On the times that they do not, any repair, no matter how extensive, will cost only $12. Olive at the front desk has been there quite a while and now knows my face so she automatically presumes that anything I bring in is from the outlet.

We've been going there for years and I have introduced many FTers to it. Every once in a while there are some fantastic bargains such as really useful briefcases and computer carriers for $5 and $10.

A couple of times a year they have a Saturday morning blowout sale that is supposed to be sensational but in more than 10 years it has always been called for a day that I need to be out of town. One of these days I will get to it.

Morning, Box. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

I really need to get there at one of those time. My laptop case is essentially through, and my employer provided a laptop case that the D620 doesn't fit within ...

Trust me. I got turned on to Ketel about 10 years ago, and it's my first choice when going out. But Tito's blows it away; sad part is that it's not well-known enough, nor does it come in a fancy bottle.

Y'all can keep it. Stuff reminds me of Nyquil.

It is, and as I have some time before I have to board, I'm going to work toward earning 10,000+ NW miles, while finishing off the last massive bonus (based upon number of transactions) on my AA credit card.

G'morning, all.

Too many 7am mornings this weekend. And another one tomorrow. All in the name of travel.

The curse of the wide screen laptop vs. old laptop cases that are laying around the office.

I will have to confer with Xyzzy that some are used as a AA crew member in the seconds area found a ticket and passport copy torn up from the previous owner. I also found one that had been scuffed while in use. The sad part is I had picked out a bag and produced to check out only to find that I can't get the new ones that only crew members can. :(

I will take your 7 am mornings over my 4:30 am mornings and day of the week or weekend for that matter. Flying is rough some mornings.

I've been using half of an old laptop case (I used to have to carry dual laptops) and both halves have pretty much died. The better one has an inoperable zipper, so the situation is becoming critical.

The weather in NJ is supposed to be warmer than Houston for the next 4 days! :D ^

Xyzzy Apr 25, 2009 8:05 am

The AC in FLL is rather cool.

Can you make it down here for 1:40? I've got a tee time.

That is SO tempting on a day like today, but the fiancee and I have some wedding things to do. :( Plus, my clubs are still about 1,000 miles from here and won't be back in my possession until I get back down to FL in mid-June ( on my part). Thanks for the offer though!

In the FLL club and some are discussing changes at the gates here. NWA is now gone and JetBlue might be going soon and Alligient will be here soon.

Perhaps United will relocate to this area??

I don't think UA serves FLL any more (pulled out last year).
