I could be wrong, but I thought CO gave most of those gates back a few years ago. From what I remember, UA realized how convenient those gates were since you could walk to them and started bullying CO via DIA to release them.

With WN so fiercely attacking DEN, i'm not sure it makes much sense anymore to have a hub there.

...with a JV being formed between the principles and coordination and shared resources being extended to the rest of the players in the alliance. The biggest thing holding this back from happened was concerns over a regulated EU-US market and now that open-skys is here (and will eventually give way to clear-skys) I suspect we'll see the regulators adopt a more lax attitude.

And if the EU regz don't see it that way, when all the airlines start hemorrhaging cash their requests to engage in closer cooperation won't fall on deaf ears, despite whatever protests are out there. <shrug>

Oneworld is a much looser alliance than ST and *A. I would be surprised the EU Ivory towerists would go after OW before the Luftwaffa. If only because LH is buying up every EU airline it can get its hands on.

That's because if they could, they would do anything to dump the management team.

I'm sure it will be, once I actually decide. I'm too invested in lenses, I think, to jump from Pentax (~$1500-2000 in extra spend on lenses to get anywhere close to where I am now) so I'll stay in the Pentax system. But I cannot figure if the extra 4MP is worth it on the K20D. It is also heavier and the battery is proprietary rather than AAs. And the extra battery grip is more expensive. On the plus side, it does things like in-camera HDR, time-lapse shots, better burst rate and duration, etc.

Pentax doesn't give an option on proprietary or AA's? I know the Canon battery grips have an adapter that lets you use AA if you want, but AA's do not fit in the camera body. To get all the goodies of which you speak is worth the upcharge to K20D, IMO.

The Hampton bed, like most other things Hampton, is outstanding.

The space that CO leases out at DEN is what F9 hubs out of. The death of UA would result in a gain for CO at DEN...only way it doesn't is if F9 folds and CO gets its space back thanks to a bankruptcy judge. Same kind of thing at LGA - the US operation there is leased from CO.

ContiUniHound has been given its expanded TARP package. We're back at 14 active airlines.

Thanks for posting that. I seem to have that too.:) I've been too lazy to try it out with photoshop so this is great if the K10D does it.

Pimpslap airlines is decidedly unpleased to announce the closure of its FCO-JNB service. (mostly because it wasn't making enough money)

CO still has the gates there, a large number of them in fact.

See my earlier post regarding ebates. You could get 3% cash back on every stay and still book at Sheraton.com. Just FYI.

Hmmm... SPG promo period conflicts with my HHonors offer. They offered to re-up me for HH Gold if I complete four stays between May 1 & July 31. I guess another two years of HH Gold are more important than two free weekend nights.

More is More™. Take more trips, and get both. Besides, you're never home anyway.
