But I cannot figure if the extra 4MP is worth it on the K20D. It is also heavier and the battery is proprietary rather than AAs. And the extra battery grip is more expensive. On the plus side, it does things like in-camera HDR, time-lapse shots, better burst rate and duration, etc.

It's more than the 4MP between the two cameras. The K20D is an updated K10D. The K200D is a K10D light. I think the lack of the exposure +/- button is the 200's biggest draw back for me. I live with that button when I shoot in aperature priority mode. I was at first worried about the battery when I was deciding to got my K10D and what ever *ist was out at the time but I've gone a whole week of vacation and then the following weekend of heavy shooting on a single charge. I don't take the charger with me on trips as I know I won't need it.

DPReview shows that button still on the 200. Or are you speaking of something different?

I know that there is a lot more to it than the 4MP and I will probably end up getting the 20 over the 200, though I am still not sure. At least I got a refund from the feds on my taxes to help on that front.

Good morning Box.

I had a wonderful time dealing with UA last night. We had a connecting customer arriving on their HNLSFO flight. He had called the HNL station to advise us that his flight was late, very late due to a mx delay. Of course he was booked on two separate tickets but what do I care, a customer is a customer, no matter how they get to us.

I contact UA to see just how late, late is. Plane won't be arriving until 12:16am and the man is checked into the IAH redeye 12:35am departure and has been EUAed. I asked UA if they are going to rebook him and the customer planner says, no way, he is on two separate tickets and is on his own. So I rebook the man via SFOEWRCDG on our first morning flight. I contact his wife with the new flight information.

The man was left checked in because you never know if he's going to make it. I call UA once again and his flight hasn't made up any time but we still leave him checked in. At 12:20 we unseat him and give away his F Class seat to the next person, which happened to be a non-rev.

At 12:23 we close the aircraft door and we see the man running down the hallway, clutching his shoes, belt and small handcarry. We re-open the door and advise the man that his seat had been given away but he can sit in a nice aisle coach seat.

I have no idea how he made it from the UA gates thru security to our flight in under 8 minutes but I'm glad he did.

Gotta love UA for following those rules and customer service be damned.

They moved the button from the location of the 10/20 because of space I supposed. My bad. The 200D is much closer to the 10D than I realised. Same sensor and shake reduction.

WOW! I don't know how he made it through security either, but that was nice of you all to re-open the door. ^

What are you paying all-in for the weekend nights for that run (if you don't mind sharing)? I ended up booking through PriceLine and got each of the three for less than $60. I'm still trying to figure out if it would have been worth it to try to dig out better "full" rates on that type of stay.

About $100/stay for Sheraton TPA Airport and Aloft Rancho Cucaracha. I need the stays to hit my second night-after-night 5K bonus.

I love Starpicks rates. Just shaved several $100 off the cost of my stays this weekend in TPA & ONT.

Hmmm, where in ONT are you staying? I don't see anything around ONT, just stuff down by LAX.

That's a pretty quick cut off. According to Plus1, I don't think anyone should ever be cut off :o

That's awesome that you guys went out of your way so much.

UA at SFO is the worst group of ground crew I have ever experienced. They are the single worst UA station and have no idea what customer service is, even for those with status.

I was looking for the Aloft but it appears to be gone.:mad::mad:

I may have misinterpreted standard discount rates as Starpicks, due to the presence of a :-: next to the rate on SPG.com. I can't actually access Starpicks from work, because our firewall blocks it as a pr0n site. Still, the discounted rates of $89-$100/night seem reasonable enough, especially as I need the stay credits for the promo.

Three times in the last two years for me. But I did convert a mess of otherwise-not-very-useful AA miles to HHonors last week, so I'll find a positive use for them. ;)
