Regarding the end of the petroleum fueled economy and the destruction of Houston, wind (or solar) won't do it. You don't burn hydrocarbons to create electricity (efficiently). It's not a vs. scenario, developing alternatives is a responsible mix in the energy portfolio. As long as we have a car culture, we'll have a thriving festering pit. |

I just changed my itinerary for next week from DCA-ATL-ICN (overnight) - KUL to DCA-ATL-ICN-KUL all in one shot. That will be 24 hours of flying (in J) plus five hours of layover. There are 2.5 hours between the DL flight to ICN and the KE flight to KUL. I hope it works.
