I just checked my AMEX statement and I noticed I received a credit from CO for $33.31 for the EWR-PHL segment bringing the total for SAN-EWR to $56.89 :D

It is only $507 a/i from EWR. Must resist urge to purchase.

If it wasn't for the visa, I'd definitely be up for a weekend down there.

Cool - like I said, just shoot me a text when you get there. I'll probably send my parents and fiancee over to the B club as to not subject them to the geekery (unless of course they have an interest in seeing the retrojet should it arrive early). :)

If I can get the 5 year multi-entry then it is worthwhile. I just don't know that it can be guaranteed so I'm teetering. I know I'm going to go back down there with my wife at some point in the next few years and paying for it now is just as good as paying for it later.

It's as close to a real deli as we can get here and I really enjoy it. The specialty bacons = ^++

Absolutely agree (don't know about the bacons ;) ).

I'll be heading through E security as well close to 1 unless something changes.

wow DL has a new club in Miami, I may need to go check it out while PClub membership can still get me in, it is 7500 sq ft, a huge upgrade over their closet room before!

word is the closet room may become a Pclub, if so I hope they do some work on it and make it a bit roomier!

Anything would be better than their old one!

Agreed, and that is my biggest doubt about the old one becoming a President's Club, I don't think CO would want their name on that one unless it was expanded at least 50%, of course the furnishings would be redone with a new club anyway. Even expanded 50% the club would still be tiny, smaller than most any other, and smaller than the IAH A PC which people already complain about(I personally like it).

Welcome back!! The itinerary sounds like a great one and (loosely) one that we've talked about doing. Very nice.

And averaging >3 hours per day driving over 14 days is pretty insane. We only got up to ~1000 miles in 8 days of driving on the South Island in New Zealand.

Replying late (was flying all day yesterday) — most of those miles happened on four days of the trip. We had four long drives, Las Vegas to Grand Canyon North Rim, Grand Canyon North Rim to Salt Lake City, Salt Lake to Yellowstone, and Yellowstone to Kalispell. But we ended up doing some unplanned sidetrips in the areas we were in, and the day we toured Yellowstone, we put a lot of miles on the car, since you're pretty much forced to drive to get anywhere in that huge park. But there was a lot of time not in the car as well; we did quite a bit of hiking, especially at Zion and Glacier.

I have a great surgery to recommend, just in case you have a little accident. :D

Oooh, mileage run and surgery! That would be unique.:D

I just over heard that the rep for the plate is also going to be in the operating room.

Make sure the rep doesn't DO the procedure.

If I get a Cheerio at the end, I'd do it.;)

LOVE Zion. That's my favorite park in Utah.

My neighb:rolleyes:r has been sanding a table for the past 3 evenings for about 3 hours each. I'm surprised there's any wood left. Not unlike the weekend he spent rototilling a 12x12' patch of dirt for 8 hours a day. He's thorough, I'll give him that.

I forgot to mention earlier the important big news I learned last night. There are still tickets available for this weekend's subway series against the Yankees at Citi Field. Not important news? It had to have been since they announced it about 30 times (I'm not joking)

Tell me about it. I almost died when we walked off the plane in Atlanta Saturday evening. It's ridiculously hot there too.

At least I'm getting a little reprieve right now in LA.

How was the honeymoon?

I'm not bashful. Soon as they opened the gate for Advanced, I bought my call. If you had KK5DK and operated any CW at all, you'd drop that as fast as possible too. ;)

I got off the train for about 2 seconds in Springfield, IL, that place was downright miserable. It had been raining and about 98 degrees. Felt like I was in hell.

One would think they could tack on some extra segments to SHV from DAL or HOU. It's a pretty short flight, and quick turn-arounds at SHV would not be a problem. I'm sure the crowds that currently hop onto motorcoach casino charters to SHV and LCH from Houston and Dallas could be tempted onto WN flights.

Does WN even fly CRP-SAT/DAL nonstop? For years they only flew CRP-HOU nonstop, and everything else required a stop (not always with a change of aircraft) at HOU.
