Therein lies the answer. She aspires to have a freestanding house, whereas I am perfectly happy in a condo/townhouse. I've never been real good at or a fan of outdoor maintenance....she wants a house, said house must include "people" -- gated community.

I don't know about last weekend's weather but I've gotten the severe weather siren the last five days I've been home ...

Mowing the lawn is one chore I like to do, although on really dry days I do have to be careful to avoid an asthma attach. I force myself to stop halfway through, go inside and have a beer (instead of simply drinking while mowing).

I hope Seattle has been enjoying our normal weather as I'm enjoying theirs.

It's been raining so much here I have plants turning yellow from too much water. The lawn isn't looking that great either as all of the fertilizer from the spring leached though the ground real quick.

The one advantage to freestanding houses is that you don't have to worry about noise as much going from neighbor to neighbor as much. I will admit lawn mowing is now getting on my nerves even though it's great for zoneing off into deep thought.
