I'll have to check him out. So many 'modern' acts don't put on live shows...it's all just pre-recorded backing tracks, fake music, and auto pitch correction on the "vocals". Assuming his live show is actually live, he would be a pleasure to go see and support.

I get annoyed with all of the games that even the great acts play with the sound at concerts. Most of the time I just enjoy the performance, but there have been a couple I was like please, if I wanted the studio version I would have stayed home and not payed ticketmaster a crapton of unsubstantiated fees.

That being said, this lover of live music has seen some amazing acts over the 25+ years since I started regularly seeing shows.

My first concert? John Denver live on the slopes of Snowmass at a festival in the mid 70s. Interestingly, also my first experience with beer. The hippies thought it was cute giving me a taste of Coors.

First show as a teenager? U2 on the Unforgettable Fire tour.

Worst show ever? Sinead O'Connor ruining reggae

Best experience? sitting onstage for R.E.M. in 1987 when they played on my campus.

Notable? Sting, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Replacements, Better Than Ezra, Dizzie Gillespie, The Marsalis family, the first two Lollapaloozas, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Police, John Mayer, BB King, Chuck Berry.....

Even though it's travel funds, I still want to make sure I get the best possible deal.

That doesn't seem right, though WN has been having problems with their website lately.

I tried looking up anything on their site even though not a member for the Corpus DO, it for 8 hours just gave me a list of phone numbers to book by phone.

Just booked a trip involving two CO 737-9's in August. I say the odds are in my favor that I experience LiveTV. ^

Is the TV free on DL? I can't remember. If so I guess that is their 'revenue stream'

Actually I was able to book directly with the hotel website, in this case Doubletree. I looked up which one I wanted on Expedia.

He usually pops into the City in the fall. Or you can catch him on the obligatory college tour somewhere in Upstate NY (Canada).

Yup I remember seeing Ben Folds perform on campus at NYU, either at Webster Hall or Irving Plaza.

The show was :-: but what I really remember was seeing Julianne Moore with her HUGE bodyguard in the audience

Eh, i refuse to step foot on a WN plane. Especially now that they are falling out of the sky.

My dates unfortunately aren't very flexible so that is part of the limitation. Even DL/NW is in the $1k range for those dates. Sounds like some bumping opportunities. :D
