Funny story time. :-:

In 90 minutes "team Canada" (the Canuck's parents) land in SAV (on US -- that's not important, but it's ). 12 hours and 20 minutes later, the Canuck and I are scheduled to land.

Apparently the "am" and "pm" got reversed in the metric conversion for her parents. @:-)

So what does this mean? Her parents are meeting my parents for the first time. And spending the entire day with them. While I'm safely tucked away in my little office in NY.

This is going to be a disaster of a weekend. I can feel it.

I'm glad you find the story funny :D - hope you still do by the end of the day!

It was played in Belo Horizonte Brazil after last weeks game that played in Argentina. Someone who worked at the hotel where the Argentina Club was staying notified the fans of the Brazilian club and they camped out all night tuesday making noise, beating drums and setting off fireworks trying to prevent the Argentinean players from being well rested for the final game.

Oh, and Good Morning, Box!

How mad would that make you!.....

That FA better had been planning an in-flight mutiny or causing some real threat to safety to justify a diversion.

Morning, box.

Also, Dergon_gf very much wants to go to Moscow..sounds fun.

I am always amused myself, however, last time you and I were both through SFO, the Thrifty booth was empty and they gave us that nasty Jeep Liberty.

Dan

Thrifty also used to upgrade me to Grand Cherokees all the time when I had booked standard or midsize, or whatever, without even being elite.

Good luck. Hopefully the Canuck's parents don't greet you with "Your mother has been telling me the funniest stories about you all day."

It's a given.

I have an ace up my sleeve though. Last night Ma Cancuk emailed her family a video from her blackberry with the subject line of "grandpa made it outside for a picnic!" (her father is in the dimentia ward of an assisted living facility).

The video she attached, however, was of a stripper giving some bald guy (not Pa Canuck) a lap dance.

All weekend I'm going to accuse her of stealing $1 bills out of my wallet. And when we do the tour of wedding venues tomorrow I'm going to walk up to random poles and check them for "stability." @:-)

Looks like an afternoon / early evening block of t-storms is building up for this evening. I'd like to set the over-under on delays on my express flight out of EWR at 80 minutes (Terminal Eh). Any takers?

I always regret taking this flight because you get painted into a corner involving crew time-out and  abatement issues.

CLE parking rates go...up!!!

Yep. Rates at Fastpark rose a dollar to $8.50/day and their sister lot is now $8/day (that is the discounted or internet rate . The full rate starts at $10/day). This happened in the face of the worst travel environment in at least 8 years. However, the CLE airport economy lot is $7/day so it looks like I move over there for the time being. It actually is within walking distance (about a quarter of a mile) of the terminal so it may be a better deal.

Just for fun, I went to the fastpark web site and looked up all their other internet parking rates at other cities and they ranged from a low of $2.60/day to a high of $6/day so CLE is without a doubt the most expensive site in their stable.

I guess business must be really good for them. :o

I really wish they allowed their frequent parker program to be used at all of their locations as a single entity. We fly out of AUS just as much as we fly out of IAH and I can't earn points for the AUS days.

I have a feeling most of your flight will be booking in M. I know my transcons to SFO and LAX will. That's about it for me.
