Plus1 started out giving me roses on our first date. He is wonderful for sending my flowers for various occasions and sometimes, just because. He once sent a gigantic bouqet to TPE when I was staying there that was absolutely beyond belief. Sadly, I was only in TPE for two days.

I have a dozen roses in a vase currently; however I bought them myself. Who says a girl can't buy herself flowers? :)

I love getting flowers. ^

AMEN.

Almost there...it's possible, depending on a couple things, that I might make it on December 31 of this year.

I got my battlefield upgrade (last minute, only 1 F seat not booked as of earlier that day) on an M fare on a rebook. Shot up to #1 on the standby list. :D

I plan on making it by Nov, but only because In Sept/Oct I will take a couple trips up to the northwest for leisure. My Nov business trips should put me over the edge.

It was played in Belo Horizonte Brazil after last weeks game that played in Argentina. Someone who worked at the hotel where the Argentina Club was staying notified the fans of the Brazilian club and they camped out all night tuesday making noise, beating drums and setting off fireworks trying to prevent the Argentinean players from being well rested for the final game.

Um, well...it is an alternative to riots and shootings. @:-)

I have an ace up my sleeve though. Last night Ma Cancuk emailed her family a video from her blackberry with the subject line of "grandpa made it outside for a picnic!" (her father is in the dimentia ward of an assisted living facility).

The video she attached, however, was of a stripper giving some bald guy (not Pa Canuck) a lap dance.

Hilarious.com

All weekend I'm going to accuse her of stealing $1 bills out of my wallet. And when we do the tour of wedding venues tomorrow I'm going to walk up to random poles and check them for "stability." @:-)

That is funny beyond words. The big question is if she will get the references...and it's likely even funnier if she doesn't but The Canuck does. :-:

2 hours in the EWR Asylum. I really hope you're wrong.

Thunderstorms at EWR, Express flight, right at the start of the international push. I'm gonna bet fozz's over. I say wheels up is a minimum of two hours beyond the scheduled pushback time.

What he said.

Presentation went well...I shouldn't get a commitment to order for a while, but they liked it very much and I have an ally in the woman who runs marketing.

The highest CLE parking rates quoted above are quite a bit lower than those at EWR. Interestingly, the CLE on-airport rates are lower than the off-airport ones. At EWR they are closer, with the on-airport rates being higher.

I got bored recently and decided to read the PANYNJ budget since i'm annoyed they raised parking rates again.

Did you know that the PATH runs in the red by millions of dollars? So, in short, people crossing the bridges, tunnels and parking at the airport are funding the commute for all those riders. That just annoys me greatly.

Yep. Rates at Fastpark rose a dollar to $8.50/day and their sister lot is now $8/day (that is the discounted or internet rate . The full rate starts at $10/day). This happened in the face of the worst travel environment in at least 8 years. However, the CLE airport economy lot is $7/day so it looks like I move over there for the time being. It actually is within walking distance (about a quarter of a mile) of the terminal so it may be a better deal.

Just for fun, I went to the fastpark web site and looked up all their other internet parking rates at other cities and they ranged from a low of $2.60/day to a high of $6/day so CLE is without a doubt the most expensive site in their stable.

I guess business must be really good for them. :o

Yeah, I would say business must be "good"
Place is almost full every time I park there. So figure 2,500 parking spots at $8.50/day... at 75% capacity, that's almost 6 million bucks a year... Shouldn't take too long to pay off the shack they built.
I've heard that Park 'n Fly is going to start building similar covered parking.
Sure does come in handy during the Hublet winters.

I've managed Plat already based out of BNA with no international trips yet (ZRH is September). I may even hit two Plat threshold awards

Except for American freight railroads, no form of transportation runs in the black any place in the world.

That's how mass transit works. Everywhere. I've never seen a full self-sustained mass transit system anywhere. It would be too expensive for fares and no one would use it.

I know, but the gap is pretty substantial. I have no problem subsidizing part of it. But, when people moan about a $0.25 increase on PATH while all the other rates are going up at dollars is ridiculous IMHO.

I thought most of Western EU was self-funded though, no?
