Looks like they just implemented the single month view calendar. :td:
Man, I really need to get over my calendar hatred. :) Therapy, perhaps.

I hope you received my voicemail message. We had a lot to deal with - just because of flying w/ a 5 month old. On the ground (while waiting forever to takeoff) in IAH, baby was bored and crabby, and well... loud. We tried lots of things to keep her quiet. Every so often, one would work. Once in the air, she wasn't that bad. A couple of little outbursts, but otherwise, not too bad. The other pax seemed to be understanding. She was a handful, that's for sure. The snow seems to be over here in DEN. Light rain is falling. I hear the weather is nasty again in Houston. Thankfully, I won't be there for that!^

I had a wonderful day yesterday drinking my way up and down Napa Valley. Great weather and great company. We left at around 11am and returned home at 9pm. No one got out of control and we were all totally relaxed. Good thing I have today off from work, as I see IAH is dealing with more massive weather. Looking forward to reading all of the complaints about how we can't move customers, etc....
Yes, IAH is sure to be a mess. Glad I got in when I did. The flight was actually quite smooth though they closed it down early in anticipation for bumps. I saw lots of GAs all around C. |

I guess there is good news in this flight delay for me. The plane is here — came in last night. The crew is here, and they overnight last night here so shouldn't be any time-out issues. In fact, I went through security with them, and they were my crew from IAH-ATL yesterday afternoon. So if the damn storms will hurry up and move east, like they appear to be slowly doing on the radar, I'll get to Houston tonight, and maybe in time for dessert at Backstreet.

Looks like SPG.com is even more  than usual today. Just timed it and it took 12 minutes to load my recent activity. Granted I'm on the ATL PC's Wi-Fi, but FT is running along smoothly, as is CO.com, weather.com, and several other sites I have up. SPG is beyond crawling. Did they "upgrade" their connection between the web server and the Internet to a 56K modem for the weekend or something?

Ugh - my flight was just delayed 2 more hours. :(

I think I would have stayed home before driving that far in that weather.

Got to love it when a passenger goes crazy due to flight delays. Guy in the ATL PC just got heated over the delays on this flight, saying that the weather is "fine" (well, it's fine here, but that's not the problem) and that CO is "just wanting to delay, delay, delay, and then cancel his flight" just to "p!ss him off." Uh huh. Yeah. Somebody at CO HQ on Smith Street really hates this particular guy and is willing to delay over a hundred other people just to make him mad. You know what, dude, sh!t happens. Travel often enough and you'll have eventually have a day where the weather is cr@p and you're not going anywhere anytime soon. Mature people just deal with it. They don't go off on an innocent agent claiming her employer is doing this just to make you mad.

Hey, I still have my 300 baud C= modem upstairs, they could borrow that.
Another SPG.com gripe — I found out the hard way the other day that unlike every other hotel chain I frequent, if you download your SPG reservation to your calendar, it includes every detail except the hotel's phone number. I needed to call the hotel, though I could just pull up my calendar entry in the BlackBerry and the phone number would be there, but no, it's not. It's there if you use the download to calendar feature that Marriott, Hilton, and Intercontinental have, but not SPG. Guess it's kind of like the parking charge information that's usually missing from their website. Someone just figured "no traveler will ever want to know this." |
