Nope. It's amazing how the type of plane on a route can affect the revenue. Just a note, the An-2 is useless in Airline Mogul. It can't do long routes and on short routes the most revenue you can squeeze from it is around $10k because its operating costs are so high.

Hartmann,
I went to that bakery and picked up a kilo (yes, a kilo) of corn tortillas. They had come out of the oven about an hour before I bought 'em. Wow! Tasty!!! Yum! Those tortillas are going to go fast. $2.50 for a kilo. Not bad!

Thanks for the suggestion.

Where has ssullivan been lately? Haven't seen a post from him here.

Glad you enjoyed them, they are some of the tastiest in town! If you were there an hour after they came out of the oven and were still able to get them, consider yourself lucky.

We arrived 15 minutes after they came out one day and they were sold out. :(

I understand your sentiment, but that thread got well out of control. What happened sucks big time, but some people simply do not know how to constructively debate without making it personal.

My thoughts exactly.

+1.

The incident should have never happened but it quickly declined into flinging poo at each other. Didn't we have the market cornered on flinging poo here in the box?

No, I think the monkeys at the zoo have that cornered. The Box, however, has the market on talking about it.

:D

Did I just say that?:p

What I have been trying to do is maximize specific planes on certain routes, especially routes that are money makers (IAH-LAX is bringing in $80k/day right now).

What equipment are you flying that with? My record setting routes when I last played a public world were PHL-LAS and PHL-HNL. Both were low six figures. I flew the high-density DC-8 on it, and the LAS fare did not need to be adjusted for several real-time weeks.

It's surprisingly easy to crank out a 30-page paper when you have an interest in the subject matter. My chosen topic is the Dram Shop Act (liability laws for sale of liquor). :D

Dram Shop laws are not the friend of the hotelier. Very interesting stuff.

Phoner went OK...I had just finished yelling at a credit card rep when the interviewer called, so I might have shot myself in the foot there.

The teaching gig interview went well...I might be doing summer work, might not...not enough is known about progress with paperwork that the State needs.

I am flying three different planes there, a Potez 841, a Page HP-137 Jetstream, and an An-24.

The An-24 is the most cost effective but since I just started and it takes a while to build up capital, I decided to fly it with smaller planes with a lot more frequency.

I'm most likely going to get a subpoena to testify in a case where a party aspirated on their vomit in the bathroom of a bar after being served all day, and by all accounts, was +ETOH.

Well, at least you don't get that every day:rolleyes:

So I made it into the NZ lounge.

Story; lounge agent denies me, citing TSA.

I go and talk to the TSA who say "yah sure go ahead and be here" and then I show back up to the lounge. "Terry" takes my card and bp and then heads to the TSA to confirm. He comes back and then says oh, ok, but you have to leave when your flight is called.

So I am going to grab a shower, some champers, and some grub and get out of here.

Now on the menu until January of 2012 at the casa de photog: breakfast burritos, seven days a week.

I stuck with the Nord 260 until I had about a dozen of them flying all 24 hours of the day, and then I started looking for cheap leases on larger seat counts. I leased a few Noratlases, and their economics made me enough to start buying 727's and Comets of all sizes. The non-reality in AM is great...as long as the block times add up to 24 or under, the game will accept it. The game won't force you to park the aircraft overnight.

And let me guess: key point of the suit is that he was overserved and everyone noticed but him and the bartenders. I thought TIPS certification helped out with scenarios and language to use in an overserve situation...but then again, the bar's attitude could be that as long as the credit card clears and the tips keep flowing, who cares.
