$300 BNA-ZRH? Is this from the DL mistake filing?

I realized that I already booked a HNL run for Feb during the last round of insane pricing.

Now i'm considering doing another one in April since it will cost me a whopping $106. That works out to be a penny a mile.

Yup. Folks in NYC actually got the short end of the stick on that deal as the add-on fares from most other cities were trivial (~$50) adding many more miles over the non-stops from JFK.

Officially true, though having *G and asking nicely if there are any better seats has seen me get the E+ for free ~50% of the time. And one of the oft-proffered theories is that CO elites will get E+ as part of a bilateral reciprocity but who knows.

Enjoy getting the dot and line. Book an immediate turn...my turnaround time was nine weeks.

I hope walking away from this for a little bit helps put all this back in perspective. It's not worth getting angry over, or jeopardizing friendships and contacts you've developed along the way.

Good point. This is probably all the Box I'll be doing today.

That is well and truly a$$-backwards.

BTW there is a Hidden Valley, PA too...

Oshkosh is from what I understand something that any aviation nut has to do once. I wish I could have been there for the 100th anniversary of powered flight - almost every national jet demo team was there and IIRC in the air together. Probably the only time that will ever happen.

Can't say that I disagree. Would love to be in a year-round golf and watersports climate.

My mother has had a titanium rod running the length of her upper left arm for a few years now. Not one ping at TSA or at any metal detector ever that I can recall. She carries the medical metal card that the surgeon gave her just in case, but she's never had to pull it out.

cruisr's plating in her shoulder should not ding either, or so I've been told. I would think that titanium does not ding and surgical steel does. Where is COFlyerCLE when we need him? He'd probably know.

Off to the contract medical clinic for the substitute teaching place, then to the substitute teaching place to drop off my PPD test results. Then I have to (shudder!) do some real work and errands. Later on.

... confirmed in advance.

If you're  elite, don't reserve a seat. The back half of the Y section will fill up and when you get to the aeropuerto they will try and sell you an E+ seat. Say, thanks, but no thanks to their bridge to nowhere and then go to the gate and say "ohhh, lookie here, I don't have a seat and I'm a  Gold, can you please help me out."

And the agent will clackity clack clack clack, at you, and then give you an E+ seat. Without fail.

In other news, I followed a pick-up truck across the Tap this morning with a "Happiness is Owning a Pig" bumper sticker. Needless to say, I don't think he was from around here. But it did have me thinking about my dear, dear Hamlet. He was such a wonderful pig, in life, and after.

Morning box.

Incorrect. You can bring up to eight people up to E+ with you.

Anyone know if the retro jet is coming in as a scheduled flight? If so, which one?

It said owning, or eating? I have seen a bumper sticker like this about eating a pig...

Sure, it's fine if you don't mind the fact that the steering wheel is ridiculously loose and you can turn it about 10-15 degrees out of center while the car continues to go straight (and it's so loose it will do this as you're cruising along and hit a bump in the road). And it's not bad if you don't mind the basic, ugly interior and craptastic radio that most rental Imapalas seem to have (we're talking circa-1988 clock radio sound quality here). And it's not bad if you don't mind the awkward grandma-esque driving position that the base model's unpowered seat forces you into. Oh, and then there's the brakes, which is usually ridiculously soft, but hopefully you'll stop before you hit someone.

I hate the Imapala. The Malibu is 1,000,000 times better. Hopefully you'll get one of those instead. I don't understand why GM hasn't killed the Imapala, which really drives like the cars they made in the 1970s and 1980s. The Malibu isn't without its faults (lack of interior storage, no grab handles, no rear center armrest, ridiculously tiny trunk opening), but it's one of the best driving mid-size sedans on the market today. The Imapala, on the other hand, just screams "driver who didn't do his/her research or is over age 70."

Thanks for the info. Here's hoping that it's a Malibu or a Taurus in the lot/stall/whatever.

George Clooney misses his pig too. So much so, that he contacted a psychic.

:D

Pigs actually make pretty decent pets. They are extremely intelligent and some of them like to have their foreheads rubbed. We used to have a few when I was growing up and they played with the dogs like they were one of them.

Me, I've always wanted a monkey. Wife said "no".

Definitely owning.

The condition of the pick-up truck was consistent with this statement too, which was amusing in itself. Red Fox visits Westchester Co. NY.
