Phone interviews are the worst. I don't think either side of the conversation benefits from it outside of the time commitment.

You do know it's way too early to have the mental image of some sitting at the phone neked. Not that I'm going to be doing the people in HNL any favors next week by unleashing my pasty white flabalanch.

Can anyone here in the Box give any recommendations on any day spa's moderately/reasonably priced in the IAD area?. I have a friend who is going for a “girl’s weekend” down to Washington, D.C. and they have enlisted me as their travel agent . I was able to find them a fantastic rate of $59/nt ^ at the aloft Dulles North and they would prefer a day spa somewhere in that immediate area.

I'm staying in that hotel now. Nice hotel though it's in the middle of no-where.

I was talking to the bartender last night and she said that they've been getting more and more locals wandering in as it's the only "bar" in the area.

Not sure if it will cut it for a girls weekend, but i figured i'd warn you.

Great rate; too bad it isn't particularly convenient to being in Washington, DC. Staying out at Dulles sucks if you actually want to be in DC proper for eating/drinking. I suppose if they have a car and a designated driver it isn't as bad, but the ride out the Dulles toll road in the middle of the night is annoying.

mornin' box.

CM good luck!

You properly already know this from your many years at the hotel in ACY. Make sure to smile as the smile is felt in your voice to the people on the other end. Just a little pointer I tell all those that have worked for me in restaurants over the years.

I do hope the job interview goes well!

I guess I better start the effort to make it to work now.

Morning box.

CM In addition to smiling, stand-up. It's amazing how much more energy you have standing up and you'll notice that you're able to think much faster. Also, write down 3 - 5 "key points" that you want to stress during the interview. That way, if you freeze, just revert to talking about the key things you want the interviewer to know about you.

Good luck with the interview, CM! ^

I think I may have found a silver lining to the DEQM fiasco. At least I'll be earning LFM's at a 2x clip for the next few months. My IAH-AMS-EWR-IAH in three weeks will put me over 700K.

Instead, I'm just a little bit jealous.

Are you going to TPA, or TPA & ONT? :D

I find it interesting that a local SIN news organization decided to use a shot of IAH Terminal C in their story about all the airlines losing money.

You're putting a solid whipping on me on that front. I'll just pass over 500K this summer. :(
