Shrug - stupidity with Twitter and "celebrities" is just something I can't ignore. Like I said above, I am not a GDNY viewer and I did mention that in my note to them.

I know it was probably a waste of 5 minutes, but it made me feel better. :D

Texas today officially becomes a nanny state. We are now the People's Republik of Tejas. The new law states that EVERYONE in a car MUST wear a seatbelt. No age restriction. Doesn't matter where you sit. Yet, motorcyclists can still ride without a helmet. I don't know if the new law is primary or secondary (I'm guessing primary as it gives police another reason to pull people over), but it's another law. Common sense tells me to wear my seatbelt, I don't need a law to do it. I guess not many people in this state have common sense, so they need big brother to tell them.

And NOW we can sign up for the Mileathon...

Figures, I managed to completely forget about it and, in the last two weeks alone, acquired TWO Continental Chase debit cards and booked a plane ticket for my sister. None of which couldn't have waited. That's 10K RDMs right there...go me.

In other news, apparently my Thursday this week is going to consist of: Day = US Open, Night = Avenue Q (which is closing next week). ^

I said the same thing, but we have some big seatbelt law advocates here :D

Great show. You'll love it.

So what's up with Mileathon registrations...? I got the error message too. Did it work?

Morning Box. First day of the new job.

Not so much for me, no.

I purchased 5 tickets a few days ago, got the PP MC and opened a Chase account and got the debit card all within the last month.

Haven't we already had this discussion?

:p

I did haz too much to drink. Am going to try to keep things on a more even keel in PRG. I'll see how that turns out...

In other news, I just got a random call last night from a friend I hadn't spoken with in a while. Turns out she now lives in PDX. FWIW, She heartily recommends the Doug Fir Lounge for food and live music. Aside from Hartmann, sbm12 and dan1431, do we have any other Boxers headed to PDX?

Anybody who did not see this coming the day that Lufty bought 19% of B6 just was not paying attention.

I don't think they will care. Neither UA or CO have any substantial ops at JFK, where i presume most, if not all, of the codesharing will happen. B6 isn't part of A++ and that's where a lot of the focus will be.

I second your friend's recommendation of the Doug Fir Lounge. Last time I was in Portland I met my team manager and her husband there for dinner. It's in a cool neighborhood, and the place itself has good food and great cocktails.

As for heading to Portland, it's definitely on our short list of upcoming long weekend trips.

What are the dates they are going?
PDX is normally a pretty cheap run.
