aloha box.

I just crossed "going on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad" drunk off my bucket list. :-:

My random life never ceases to amaze me.

In all my travels through and to IAH, tonight's stay is the first time in an IAH Hotel, that doesn't involve a DO.

The lovely IAH-CY(yet another)

Off course the [:rolleyes:_i_i_i__:rolleyes:> only operates on the hour, my flight is at 9:08am.
Should I chance that the 8:00 one will get me there in time or do I kill an hour at the airport, hmmmmmmmmm.

UA EMB120 out of PDX.

Out just past the ILS system for the runway, these tprops take off so quick they are way up by the time at the point I was.

However there are 4-5 other better places but I was waiting on hotel shuttle(aka free taxi and faster!) to pick me up.

Glad to see QX represented in 'da box!

Gotta love free Beer & Wine :D

QX has been doing some flyovers of football games too, including WSU, OSU & UW (in appropriate livery ;)... ^

Oooo!^ I'd do that, too!:D

Were they out of whale blubber?

I try never to run out of whale blubber.

Did a search of ANC in this thread... interesting what one finds ;)

Yes, I only eat Salmon in ANC... (or the lox on the occasional AS flight :p) - well I did take a whole red down to ORD and helped my Grandma cook it up ;) but then again my family caught it :D

As to whale blubber- muktuk isn't that bad. Much better then seal which is very fishy...

Of course, if you want a true delicacy, try beaver tail :D

More fun with ANC

The free Alaskan Amber is enough to sell AS F to me.

<burp> excellent reason to go to the AS BR tomorrow </burp>

True if you are referring to the CO 739ER F seats, which (IMO), are the worst domestic F seats in the fleet. However, the Alaskan Amber does help make up for it.

Haven't tried CO's F product... if they had an el'cheapo fare from ANC... ;)

That is true - they looked just like the CO 739F seats (though I could swear I was on a 733 that had seats that looked just like that the other day).

Of course, free Alaskan Amber can make up for a lot of things.

On another topic, woo-hoo - post 7000!

I myself prefer the Alaskan White~

As for your seating... a 73H has the best- usually on transcons/select midcons and all ex-Hawaii... and 50/50 ANC-SEA...

739 isn't bad... different seats then the 73H... and the 73G comes in 3rd in my opinion (only 3 rows vs. 4 on 73H or 739)

734 - stay away if possible... better then Y, but from the 90's... and seats are 'well used'...

ahem... and this was the first Paid F ticket AS has seen on this route in years ;) [Glad it was a good experience ;) and you had a chance to thaw out :p]

Was there any specifics you were looking for? Food, perhaps. Greatly depends on the route like CO. Can be pretty decent or very lackluster like CO. The FAs are consistently excellent. Row 2 is my row of preference. For second choice it's a toss-up between row 1 and 3. Award space is usually pretty decent @330 days but disappears quickly on the Hawaii, Mexico and Florida flights.

Hmmmm, is there anything I didn't cover? If I missed something just ask. :)

Transcons & Ex-Hawaii offer 2 options for food... otherwise its YMMV... with a piece o' protein and side salad if lucky...

Ex Hawaii has a Hawaiian Flare

Any more questions? Standard mid-con run for AS... could be on any of AS' jets, and F does allow BR access if paid with $ or miles...

Some reviewer called the Michael Jackson "documentary" attempt to pay bills on film "the greatest piece of filmmaking ever."

REALLY?

Gone With the Wind?
Casablanca?
Ben-Hur?
The Godfather?
The Wizard of Oz?

Any of those ring a bell, you twit?

Sometimes the level to which the American society is rapidly falling down to makes me taste a little bit of puke in the back of my mouth.

ConciergeMike Oct 28, 2009 5:56 am

The Hispanic ad thread just reached an entirely new level of stupid. But to be fair about it, I'd rather have that kind of stupid than "I just got my Star Gold card; did anyone else?"

(The answer to that is "Yes, stupid. They tend to be mailed in bulk.")
