I agree.

Going to Arlington always gives me goose bumps. It's such a place of honor.

There is also a Veteran's grave yard at the VA Hospital in Johnson City, TN and I was surprised at how many Metal of Honor men were buried there.

The refurbed NZ 763 C cabin looks yummeh.

BD are so stoopid...

Whoa. What kind of weird rule is that? I need to find a way to exploit it.

Whoops. Well the money she saved can now go to a round of wine tasting in Napa.

She should be happy that the sky is blue and temps are on the cool side. It's a beautiful day here and will be all week.

MBM3, noticing your "just because" editing of an original post, you might want to do a similar edit of that content quoted in #102843...

Longest segment flown controls redemption category.

Assume two flights on the itinerary...

One is 6,000 mi., flown in F
The other is 6,001 mi., flown in C

You would only be billed at the C redemption rate... cuz that's how BD rolls. :D

Was this in Word, or another program? I assume a different program because you mentioned you did it while trying to post. If it was while posting on here, what browser are you using?

Yeah, she is excited and I doubt she felt she missed anything. Knowing her she started a book and was fast asleep by page two.

sdm1130 - sorry to hear about the potential upcoming change. That is a drag, but as you said, an opportunity as well.

We may have a fit for you - PM me and we can chat more.

In the meantime, keep your head up. :)

I was going to guess $4500. The right answer was $5000. Not a surprise, really. I would've even rented the flash gear and a backdrop to look like I knew what I was doing for that much coin. :p

What dictionary/app were you using that this was added to?

A BD reward is charged based on the fare that the longest segment is booked in. So a very long F segment followed by a marginally longer C segment is charged at the C rate.

I think I'm going to try for NYC-FRA/MUC-CAI and then CAI-IST-JFK for my reward. There is F inventory on the IST-JFK segment on the 77W. I'd still need to get from CAI to SSH and back but those are only ~$170 each to just buy the tickets.

Maybe. How do I actually book a BD reward? I've not yet had that pleasure.
