Public Announcement: Schwab 2% Cash Back Card May Be Discontinued Soon!

Evening Box,

If you have not already heard of it Charles Schwab has a card (Charles Schwab Invest First Visa) that kicks back 2% cash, has no FOREX and carries no annual fee. Recently Schwab pulled the card from their website and after chatting with a rep the other day, it sounds like they may be discontinuing it.

Existing members would of course be grandfathered into the current generous benefits and even if you're not planning on abusing it - say at the mint - it's a good card to have just to keep in the sock drawer for international travel. (The only other cards I know of that offered no FOREX are capital one and the now discontinued ChasePresPlus card special offer.)

While the webpage that talks about the card is down, you can still apply for it here.

Hope it can help someone.

Oh and Otters need not apply. :p

When Sir Alex hit that jonron the cheers were loud enought that I had to double take thinking the game was here and not in Los Angeles Angels of L'orange

Awful call - that should have been a double play. Why Cano didn't step on 3rd is beyond me...

So, apparently ice skating is on the horizon for this weekend (in Avon, CO) and I have dug out my old figure skates from high school. Time to recreate The Cutting Edge. :D However...I'm not sure if these are OK to go in a carry-on? co.com has an extensive page of info on sports equipment and its required packaging (https://www.continental.com/web/en-U...ge/sports.aspx) but no mention of skates, which makes me think they MIGHT be OK?

I know it would be just easier to play it safe and check, but I will be absolutely zooming to EWR that day and am worried about making it in time. WWTBD?

I think he might have been making up for the bad call with the pick off attempt at 2nd.

Interesting. I just noticed that the Skyteam timetable doesn't show any CO flights as of 10/25.

And, no, the Star timetable doesn't show any CO flights starting 10/27.
