Back at ya!

Good morning to the Box.

Quick visit. Have a lot of things I need to do today.

Also, we are having a "surprise" birthday party tonight. LOL! My friend is a doll. She is an out and out extravert and loves to party. Me, on the other hand, couldn't care tuppence about my birthday ....!

Anyway, she is throwing a party for Mr.Brit and I (it was his birthday on Wednesday, mine is next Sunday) tonight. We know that there is a party, but we don't know where, what the theme is, etc.

My friend is hopeless - hopeless, I tell you - at keeping secrets, so she keeps asking me all these questions that I know are aimed at getting info for the party.

Hilarious! But, I'm looking forward to having some fun. :D And, as long as there are martinis there, it could be held in a garbage dump and I wouldn't care! :D

We are packing to leave and going straight there. Timing might not work. :(

General Box Announcement: winning the Star ticket has caused a conflict in my Devils attendance schedule. Nov. 6th, Devils/Islanders, three seats, two rows off the glass behind the net (can't recall which side right now). If anyone has an interest or wants to take care of a client, let me know.

The timing for Udvar-Hazy today will not work however we will be in NY on Nov 6 and right now I will see if we can use as many as three seats. I will PM you (or e-mail if I have your address) today as soon as I know. Thanks.

Thanks Professor Brituchenite for explaining the Myer Briggs Type Indicator.

How long does the real "test" take and how long does it take you to evaluate someone? And why would you have someone do this "test"?

My mother was a management consultant (Pepsi, JP Morgan, etc., and one year flew CLE-SEA every week for a couple months to do Boeing!). She often used the test to teach people what their natural tendencies were and how to recognize similar - or opposite - tendencies in the people they had to work with. Apparently, says she, most people start out strongly extreme in the various parameters and ideally move to as close to 50-50 as possible throughout their life. (She is an INTJ and married an ESFP)

Olton Hall and Brituchenite, your explanations were as concise and clear as any I have ever read - well done and thanks! Very interesting.

Thanks for that -- it just scored me as INTJ and apparently I'm a:
  • distinctively expressed introvert
  • distinctively expressed intuitive personality
  • moderately expressed thinking personality
  • moderately expressed judging personality
...whatever that means.

Wonder what the overall trend is for FTers.

We discussed this briefly a while ago, IIRC. I can't remember what the trends were other than there being a lot of I.

I get either ESFP or ENFP, slightly skewed towards the former (the other three are all fairly strong). Interestingly, after reading all the stuff y'all just posted, based solely on that information I would have guessed myself to be an N.

Currently hanging out at ATL waiting for tjtenor4's flight to arrive (we have a wedding to go to this afternoon). Apparently there was an hour delay caused by the removal of an unruly passenger...can't wait to hear that story.

Getting up at 4:15 am to make a 7 am flight at PHL REALLY hurt.
So did the lack of an elite security line in terminal A (which I don't think I'd ever used before - I haven't flown DL in over a year and I don't think I've used it at all out of NJ since I moved here).
So did the fact that I got to the gate while boarding was happening, and I asked if there was a separate line (as directed by the sign) for Skyteam Elite, and the GA said no, we're not doing that, go to the back of the line.

I mean, that didn't HURT, it was just confusing...is that kind of thing only standard practice on CO? When I'm zooming from gate to gate on a connection, or getting to the airport at the last minute, I really appreciate being able to cut the line (though I always feel a little guilty doing so).

Hmmm. I think I'm going to take a stroll over to Terminal C and see if there's a line for flu shots.

It is warmer here than it was in MSP this morning. I'm now enjoying an unrefurbished 737-400 F cabin. It's like stepping back into 1987. :-:

ALCO, I forgot that you were in CLT today. Not sure when the last time you were here, but the airport has expanded some, and there is a Tequileria which (for an airport restaurant) has decent margaritas.:) I'd stop by and say hey, but getting ready to head to the NASCAR Race. I am not a huge fan, but my son does enjoy it!^ Travel Safe!

Good morning Box.

One last thing about Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. There are several different types of reports available to the person who does the review. They are full of details but you need to be able to read between the lines of the reports so that's why you need someone who knows how to read them. This LINK goes to a pdf file of a sample Career Report.

Well, the Marriott issue has been somewhat resolved. Looks like I'll get the $200 + 2 free nights. I had to fight for it, but it worked out.

Congrats to CM! I heard it on the Twitter grapevine that you won the *MegaDO tickets. ^

I didn't think HP had the 400's. I have been on an old US 737 in 4 years. They looked like crap on the inside then. I'd hate to see them now.
