We just got back from drinks, dinner and drinks. That's life in the French Quarter.

If you want to learn more about this type of SQL Query after yout stuff is done, particularly if you need to scale it up, I can send you some examples of stuff I use for tables exceeding 1MM rows. Also a couple of easy cheat methodologies for creating the necessary views.

We're flying in the AM tomorrow and I'll ckeck in after noon.

Looks like the mint just belched out another round of dollar coins. :D

If you're not already being patriotic and helping uncle Sam get these into circulation, you need to start.

Big congrats on the win!

Sorry for being scarce of late. Work has been most  and after feeling "ish" for a few days, I felt like the dog's breakfast this AM and went back to bed.

Still catching up — and just realized we hit a major milestone in here while baglady, ALCO, J.Edward, fozz, Plus 1, and I were at dinner tonight.

Dinner was good last night. I'd go back the the Black Lab in a heartbeat.

Sure, for 6-9 months of the year. But summers in Fairbanks can be hotter than summers in Houston, and quite humid. That part of Alaska is not necessarily cool in July and August.

Speaking of Alaska, I watched 30 Days of Night from my sick bed. I was pleasantly surprised. ^

Night plot, decent acting, great camera work & SFX and not a huge gorefest. (But deserved the "R" rating.)

Yo SkyTeam, you're a nice bunch, and I'm gonna let you finish...But STAR ALLIANCE has the best airline network of all time!

There's a difference between "in circulation" and "getting the coins minted". In any case, my last order (for the AmEx in 2009) did ship today. I've already moved on to a Citicard ...

Nifty, I can also help with that if you would like. I'm also going to work on cobbling together a Greasemonkey script to include the images as selections in the Smilie nav on the right of reply and post textareas.

I've done a bit of GreaseMonkey for SmugMug at one point. I can help if desired.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions

Fundamental to the MBTI is the theory of psychological type. In 1920, Carl Gustav Jung published Psychological Types, which was a psychological system from which the Myers-Briggs was founded two decades later and upon which most of the the current "personality" type inventories are now based.

First, Jung said there are two "attitudes" of living in this world - being Extraverted, and being Introverted. The popular press would have you see the difference as being "sociable" or "solitary", "talkative" or "quiet", etc. This is not what Jung originally intended. Extraversion is classified as having a preference and focus on the outside concrete world, interacting with it in an expressive way. Introversion, on the other hand, is demonstrating a preference for focusing on the inner mental world, interacting with it and being more introspective. This is how Jung believed we energize ourselves.

Jung also postulated four basic functions, two of them being perceiving (irrational) functions, the other two being judgement (rational) functions.

The perceiving functions are ways of gathering data about a particular world (inside or out). The first way is through Sensing, i.e. in noting the concrete, tangible evidence - that which we can see, hear, taste, smell, touch, etc. The other way is through iNtuition, i.e considering the possibilities, the patterns, what is hidden beneath the surface of an experience, etc. a sixth sense if you will.

The two judgement (rational) functions are Thinking and Feeling, and Jung did not mean for these to be taken literally. This refers to how you make decisions. Thinking, as a function, is a process which makes a decision based on objective, impersonal, logical analysis and criteria. Feeling, on the other hand, is a process which makes a decision based on how it affects others or personal, subjective values.

So, we now have the possibilities of:

Extraversion or Introversion (E or I)
Sensing or Intuition (S or N)
Thinking of Feeling (T or F)

Myers and Briggs added a fourth dimension: that of Perceiving and Judging (P or J).

At its most basic level (the fourth dimension is extremely complex to explain) Perceiving and Judging relates to how spontaneous or structured we are. That is, do we prefer an organized, structured, more rigid approach to interacting with the world, or are we more spontaneous and flexible.

This is a very basic explanation of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator!

In my home, it would be related to a rebate. In a bar? For me it would have to be the best available Happy Hour special.
