Watch the episode via Gawker and see Wolf being a jackass to people for no good reason. Check out the embedded NBC.com clip before the show clips.

Is anyone else worried that PClubs are going to become a lot more crowded now that, in addition to *Golds, UA RCC and US Club members will have access?

Adding OP Gold elites on international travel alone is probably going to increase crowds...

It'll become so crowded that no one will go there anymore. :D

Not really. NW WC members had access to CO's lounges for more than a decade. DL's CRC members had access for the last five years or so. SkyTeam Elite Plus members have had access for the same period as DL CRC members, if traveling on an international itinerary. Granted there's the grace period until the end of January when the DL/NW people can access a CO lounge, but on the other hand, after the end of this week, how many of those members are going to be flying on CO anyway, since they can't earn DL miles on CO at that point?

I think it's a non-issue. It's also been rare that I've been in a club that was so crowded I couldn't find a place to sit, and I've had a PC membership since 2001. I just don't see it as a big issue. On the other hand, I'm really looking forward to the new Star Alliance member lounges we will have access to.

I see a shrimp dish of some sort in my immediate future. Now to locate said shrimp in the freezer.

I know it's just one data point, but the LAS PC is always empty.

As ssulivan noted, we will also get access to other :-: A lounges which is a plus

I'm ready for the day to be over. One more hour. I love working on the West Coast in the mornings when my body thinks its getting to sleep late. Not so much in the evenings when my body thinks its time to be back at the hotel, and the clock says I'm still at work.

I have recently enjoyed providing contrasting opinions to the common perception of US. The carrier deservedly got a nasty reputation in the wake of its hideously implemented merger with HP (and due to other, pre-existing issues). Are they SQ, or even trending in that sort of direction? Not hardly. However, I think they have rebounded well beyond their nadir of a year or so back.

Blitzer the journalist, Blitzer the man, and the TV personae are very, very different creatures in depth, humanity, and character.

But, now we're adding OP Golds flying internationally, Star Golds (I'd assume this is a larger group than STE+ since Star is a larger alliance and since *G includes most mid-tier elites) and club members from a pretty large airline (was it larger than DL and NW when they were separate? I forget...). The customer base with PClub access is going to grow pretty substantially.

The EWR C3 club is regularly packed during the evening international departures.

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely looking forward to the new Star member lounges as well - just a little concerned about what the crowds at some PClubs.

In my experiences last month (a small sample set of 8 flights in F), they were definitely better than UA. I look forward to expanding that sample set and, once again, comparing UA and US this coming weekend. I will even have time to check out some of the US Clubs this time.
