I haven't read back in the thread so I presume that last night was a bit rough. I will be surprised if that game induces sleep. That feature will be displayed this afternoon by KC at Redskins.

I needed to put the hotel room in order after the game and got to sleep about 120. Do you think that they needed more replays of the pie in the face than of the actual play that ended the game?

I was in Berlin in January. There is no "wall" to see in most places; however, if you have a long layover there is a long stretch near Checkpoint Charlie. (Most of the original wall has been torn down to facilitate redevelopment.)
To get from TXL to the Central Berlin (Mitte), you need to take a bus to a U-Bahn. This takes under an hour. I will look into my trip notes to see if I can find more details for you. Although I use public transportation whenever possible (which makes many of my colleagues ), a taxi from TXL to Potsdamer Platz is relatively inexpensive (under 25 €) and takes about 15-20 minutes.

Good morning, Box.
I had a few too may caphiranas (sp?) last night :D Had great fun at my "surprise" birthday party! One of the hilarious things was that my friend sent a towncar to pick us up. We then went on a "magical mystery tour" and drove all around the area before we actually got the the party house!. We were in the car for about25 minutes, driving here there and everywhere, passing lots of restaurants and slowing down to a stop in front to make us think that was where the party was. Eventually turned up at another friend's house (gorgeous victorian mansion) where the party was. Laugher factor was high - her house is literally 5 minutes walk from mine!!! So the ride over was fun. The towncar driver was laughing along with us - he thought it was great fun teasing us! The party was great. We had fantastic food, drinks, etc. Played a really cool game of "guess who". My friend had asked us lots of "fun facts" about ourselves and then posted questions on flip charts all around the house. Silly questions like: "who wrestled and alligator and a kangaroo in the Australian outback" and "who was bitten by a lemon meringue pie and a crazed cucumber as a child and now won't eat either" or "who threw themselves off an express train in India because he/she missed his/her stop" . Guests had to "guess who" that question pertained to, log it on a sheet, and the winner at the end won a gift certificate to a local restaurant. My friend worked really hard to make this party fun - and it was! I did drink a few too many of those Brazilian caphiranas though ...... :p |
throw yourself off an express train in India  doesn't sound wise!!!

OMG, I will *NEVER* be in town again when the in-laws are here... I don't care if I have to sleep in a cardboard box down in Galveston.
I am extremely fortunate that my in-laws are wonderful, and I love being around them.

Can I creep into this box again? I met a bunch of you on the CommunityBuzz! posting board re the Do. I have been lurking and have had a few posts here since.
That said, I went to a friend's 50th B-day party ..... Hey, Trustguy, I didn't see you at my 50th birthday party last night ..... :p I must have had too many caphiranas ....:D Come and join us in the Box sandbox any time! We promise not to throw sand at you .......;) |
if the bulkhead F on UA even has some resemblance to CO's row 1, it's not that big a deal. I'm not going to cry about not being able to get full leg extension on two sub-two hour flights. Besides, I might be in those seats for a reason unknown to me.
I asked this in an email back to Tommy, Oliver and Randy and did not get an answer: does anyone know if there is a dress code for anything that's going on in FRA? |
CM, congrats on winning! Have fun trying a real airline (UA).

Ack! My InsideFlyer subscription ran out and there were ads everywhere! The horror!
Morning, Box. :) |
