I feel bad for FTlurker he put a lot of work in. The curse of winning the battle but losing the prize continues.

me too. FTLurker was a real trooper

Sure, for 6-9 months of the year. But summers in Fairbanks can be hotter than summers in Houston, and quite humid. That part of Alaska is not necessarily cool in July and August.

Yup... FAI can be rather sweltering

Just took a look at teh Box's FM. No Alaska there. A few other states missing, too (including ME since I haven't added those flights yet), but AK is pretty surprising to me.

This is a list of flights of 2 boxers... right? Been on several flights with other FT'ers... but not boxers... yet!

Our FM is a list of flights by Boxers.

Ft lurker is right, but many of us are too lazy to put our flights in.... namely me.

I have trained myself to look above the door, just as I enter.

So its any box flight? Doesn't have to be shared?

What about before I became a boxer? :D

At least I have an upcoming one ANC-OGG that will add some variety

How do we update it?

no, not shared, the map is shared among all that enter the box and enter the data.

There is a specific way to enter is, ssullivan gave the pass an an overview the otehr day, will try to find it for you. but maybe tomorrow I am about to pass out here :D

ArizonaGuy Oct 16, 2009 2:13 am

So after being up late every night for a week, I can't sleep and with no posting to do I haven't a clue what to do with myself right now.

I did notice it's been 65 days since my last Citi AA credit pull so I did apply for two more cards. Need to call when the line opens and get the immediate approval, but that should be another 60K AA miles.

Need ways to earn more *A or OW miles!

I do feel a little bad for poor old ArizonaGuy though. He so badly wanted to win, and posted his little heart out. He's a great guy. He needs to come and join the Box.

I won't say I'm not a tad disappointed. Certainly happy for ConciergeMike and envious too. Notice the post counts of both the winner and the alternate selectee? In the middle, or in Omnivore's case, just over 400 posts. Awesome. Random chance is a beautiful thing.

Steph3n Oct 16, 2009 2:49 am

Going to sleep now, morning bochs!

Phudnik Oct 16, 2009 3:29 am

I have something like 800 posts to read through to catch up, what with the 100kth post, but I did want to post something since I am on a train. Virgin Trains provides a rather slow T-Mobile service; it would be nice if Amtrak did this as well (without the rather slow part).

ssullivan, if no one has recommended *wood hotels in SF, I'd recommend the LM (former Park Hyatt). It is the nicest hotel I have stayed in for business; the location isn't great if you need to be near Union Square, but nothing is very far in downtown SF.

Utility from the Box? I have gotten the occasional useful tip but don't come here for useful information per se.
