I've seen the airport from the freeway but never flew into or out of it. It is supposedly nice though.

UA also serves BUR. Really convenient airport. ^^ ETA: AA only flies to DFW from BUR |

Why.... does CO's route map show Burbank as a partner destination, but attempting to book a flight there only returns options of LAX, ONT, and SNA?
Or is/was this a destination served by AE that is going away come 26 Oct, which just so happens to be my date of outbound travel? |

Given the clouds outside and very slight temperature drop, I believe the cold front is approaching my location. I have a feeling the drive to Houston is not going to be fun this evening, since I'll probably be chasing this thing the entire way, and dealing with the storms it's likely to kick up.

PWP 2.0 was quite a bit of fun. Glad it's over, though.

ONT is a great airport for flying but a horrible airport to be in the terminal. There is almost never anything open there and that problem has gotten worse since air traffic has gone down so much. Although UPS has a hub there so it's fun to see all the widebodies come in from all over the world in the late afternoon.
If you are coming from the Valley or Hollywood, BUR is the way to go. |

Glad that PWP2 is over. It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of time that would probably have been better spent elsewhere. That said, I can't believe that 2 weeks went by so fast. It was a PWP Olympics. :D |

I would assume it is one of the dropped locals. I think UAEX serves BUR. I looked at the AE partner info at CO.COm and it doesnt list Burbank. Did AE fly there before?
Worksite is north side of Glendale, right up next to Mt. Wilson coincidentally, so I'm equidistant from both LAX and ONT, and LAX has better options... and I'd really like to get my last 12K miles for MM while DEQM is going on. :D^ |
