My sister flew it in Y and liked it, she said it was way better than UA on her last trip over...something about actually being able to eat the noodles and shrimp compared to UAs pig slop dish.
In contrast, the outbound LAX-AKL-SYD segments were fantastic. |

Plenty of time to head into town then grab a ride on the bullet train. And the train is pretty cheap.

OZ or NZ? I don't know about Y. Obvously AC and NZ have a better C product than OZ as far as privacy goes. For me, the meals on the two OZ long-haul flights did not impress me nor my wife. The SYD-ICN segment was unbearably warm despite asking crew if the temperature could be reduced.

I flew OZ the reverse of that. Just not impressed. When are you going? Could you not find NZ availability from LAX, SFO or YVR?

I also decided to have a few photos taken for mom while I was traveling in East TN. I've really lost weight - the shirt in the black/white photo is the very same as the photo that made me realize I needed to diet.

It's 41 and raining here in the steel city. I'd take 91 and humid in a heart beat. Y'all know how all you southerners get that sense of dread sometime in March or April about the upcoming 6 months of oppressive weather? That's where I'm at right now.
I do enjoy a couple of things about fall, though. Football, obviously. And pumpkins. Pumpkin anything: pie, muffins, soup, etc., etc. So needless to say, the following article just made me drool: http://www.boston.com/ae/restaurants/gallery/pumpkin/ Pumpkin whoopie pies. Amazing. :D Gotta find some of that in NYC/NJ. Do we have any BOS-based Boxers? I'm blanking out... |

In J or F? I've got JFK-ICN in F booked for May (I think...definitely some time next year) and I was pretty excited about it, despite the 12:30am JFK departure.
