Nice. That's really cool.

The son-in-law of the graduate adviser I've been talking to is career Army. He tried the college thing and found that it just wasn't his style. He has decided to forgo higher education for himself and invoke the transferability provision of the GI Bill to his young daughter. The kid is not yet in middle school and has most of her undergrad picked up already. :-:

Why did they decided to move the NFL Pro Bowl out of Hawaii?? That is a huge change.

A hundred a day probably wouldn't be too bad. The problem is that only going for 100 is a very limited trending. You also have to consider carriers and which ones would show in which query or if you'd get specific per city-pair.

I've got the code to do the data mining. I'm not sure it is worth it on such a large scale. You're definitely running afoul of the T&C of the websites that serve up the data and that's probably not a great way to build a business.

yea, i am checking it out :)

I wonder the $$$ factor for this functionality.

it amazes me that some people have anointed themselves as the CO experts of the forum. like get over yourself and stop trying to one up everyone.

I didn't think the venue was the point.

I am bonus heavy with MR. Just got a 10k reward for three stays with CY and a handful of other bonuses for this and that. In addition to the major bonuses, I received about 30k in bonuses in the past couple of months. Not bad, not bad.

  • Pay off my mother's house
  • Set up education trusts for her three nieces...those kids are brilliant for their ages and their parents should not have to sweat getting them the best possible higher education.
  • Make a large contribution to several charities or causes that have personal meaning to us (Rotary, Dress for Success, Fisher House, USO, cancer research come to mind)
  • Have a designated amount that we each are allowed to blow any way we want

^^^

similar to my list! Care for family and friends, give lots to our preferred charities, give an endowment to the Education Foundation that I am a trustee of, make sure my chidren are taken care of, and then just have some fun.

But, we also decided that, in reality, we don't need that much money, once the house is paid off, and the kids college fund is secured, we just need enough to live on and travel.

Lack of luxury suites = more money elsewhere

well i finally have put some energy back in to Global 7 Travel. Basic site should be done tomorrow, multi user blog software installed and days away from beta, and SBMwiki is installed as well.

Budding bloggers and travel authors extraordinaire, we are about ready to go!

The blogs will be driven by Wordpress, so there is a ton of functionality and accessibility, including iPhone and BlackBerry apps that allow you to update remotely. I will give another shout out by the end of the week for beta testers to jump right in to the blogosphere!
