Late for sure. I land around at 7:30pm and a certain J Edward offered to act as chauffeur for the evening. I'm hoping the offer still stands. :)

Perfect. Let us know when and where and we'll be there.

PS if J Edward bails, we will happily pick you up and Plus1 will be the dd.

I've seen far too many commercials for that program tonight online ...

When I was waiting for my Northwelta flight at E2 last week, I saw a UA cornucopia parked in D. I know the 752 that starts its day there goes to SFO, and there was also a 319, 320 and 737.

If I won a very large lottery, I would live comfortably and use the rest for worthwhile charitable causes.

We have decided that if the lottery hit was big enough, we would do the following:
  • Pay off her parents' house
  • Pay off my mother's house
  • Set up education trusts for her three nieces...those kids are brilliant for their ages and their parents should not have to sweat getting them the best possible higher education.
  • Make a large contribution to several charities or causes that have personal meaning to us (Rotary, Dress for Success, Fisher House, USO, cancer research come to mind)
  • Have a designated amount that we each are allowed to blow any way we want

Running the queries for a few hundred routes would likely get you into legal trouble in a hurry unless you're buying in directly to the GDSes for your data.

I don't think it would be that bad, take the top 100 city pairs, query twice a day from 5-10 different IPs to whatever the source is, it could even be spread over time for 10 city pairs in a batch. the objective would just be to plot trends over a week, month, quarter, and eventually a year.

According to my current will, if I were to die unexpectedly my estate has to pay for any of my nieces or nephews (included "adopted") to go to college before any remainder is distributed.

A hundred a day probably wouldn't be too bad. The problem is that only going for 100 is a very limited trending. You also have to consider carriers and which ones would show in which query or if you'd get specific per city-pair.

I've got the code to do the data mining. I'm not sure it is worth it on such a large scale. You're definitely running afoul of the T&C of the websites that serve up the data and that's probably not a great way to build a business.

It might take years to be terminated.

Thank you for thinking of me. I'll be more than happy to accept all of your winnings.
