Have I told you I hate you lately? :p

I'm going to have to start flying out of GRK. Looking up GRK-PDX opens up L availability and drops the price to $200

CO209 on 26th for me.
then CO208 on 28th...we are not going to be on the same flights.

:D one less person fighting for upgrade.

are you in PDX on business? I'll be there doing a little work but not really for work....

They had a 11:30am on certain days... I can't seem to find it.

I looked in an old timetable from 2007, and it was just the three flights they have now. Maybe they added one in the summer? Wouldn't surprise me. Back in 2007 they changed the 9pm flight to a 757-300. ^

Haha! Yep, I'm there on business first and foremost, but it's always a pleasure going there. ;)

What's the deal with PDX fares? They always seem to be pretty high from EWR as well. Is there just not a lot of capacity going in there?

There's only a limited number of flights, and not a lot of competition.

I've never found IAH-PDX to be that outrageous though; but then, I've not considered the times I've paid $300-375 for that flight to be too expensive, considering the distance involved.

IAH-SEA is longer and is almost always cheaper.

With AS now doing that route, I expect to be even cheaper than usual.

My crystal ball says, "No chance. Still selling seats. It will be a full flight."

PDX was cheaper for me when I booked.

I was shocked when we had to do the roof. I live in the only city that requires a 40 yr roof. That almost triples the price of a normal roof. We'll have the big earthquake, the house will break apart but the roof will still be in one piece.

We had to replace our hot water heater and the house heater. I know the feeling of draining your wallet and bank account.

There's also a lot more competition and more flights to cover the demand that is there. AS is the only other nonstop competitor, but AA has always had really good connections to SEA from IAH, and WN has generally made it pretty painless to fly HOU-SEA. HOU-PDX on WN has traditionally been a much tougher routing. Overally, Houston-Portland just doesn't have the demand, or the competition, that Houston-Seattle has had, and the prices reflect that.

Steph3n:

The package arrived just now. WOW great tasting stuff. I prefer the praline made with the agave nectar, it has a different sweetness to it, very smooth.

I'll never eat peanut brittle again. My taste buds are ruined. ^
