I really didn't want to bid into Baggage Service but the power that writes the work schedules doesn't sit up night worrying about what I want! I am number one of the part time bid but it doesn't help when there isn't much that I can choose from. Of course others just  their eyes at me because I get first choice of the schedules. I just want more days off and that's the only line that works for me and life outside of work.

You have to do what works for you. :) (hey that rhymed!)

Let us know when the last day at "the gate" is.

Only one more week of working the summer flight schedule.
Three more weeks before our new bid (our work schedule) goes into effect.
Four more weeks and I am on vacation.

If the new bid doesn't change from the prelim, I will soon be working in Baggage Service 2 days a week and at the ticket counter one day a week, with 4 days off-still working at night. This will be quite a change for me. As much as I love working the Gates, there is no way that I want to continue working 5 nights a week.

But that means Baggage. :eek::rolleyes::mad:;)

I actually will have split days off. I'll be in Baggage Service Saturday and Sunday, ticket counter on Wednesday. I'm hoping that someone will want my ticket counter shift and then I'll have 5 days off Monday-Friday. Can't get any better than that. Even if that doesn't pan out having Mon-Tues and Thur-Fri as my days off is exciting.

This week will probably be worse for a diet than the end of next week (ZRH); six of my next eight meals are events where I have no control over the menu ...

Yes I did. I love the mini-DOs. Of course my daughter was calling all the time because she wanted to make sure that I wasn't dead since I was staying over at people's homes, people that I hadn't every met before except thru The Box.

But it's teh Box:confused:;)

Heck - I'm looking forward to having Friday alone off (in order to take care of tasks that are difficult over the weekend).

I know. The department really should be renamed to "YOU lost my bags so now what are you going to do about it".

That's why I had zero fear for my life. Anyone that posts in The Box is OK by me.

I'm off to the :rolleyes:ffice now. Hoping for a nice easy night and zero co-worker drama. :D

Not necessarily, I'll be asking people to work for me so that I can make it. Plus I still have three weeks of vacation that I could use if no one is willing to pick up my shifts. I plan on being there.

You just bring so much light to my day.

the sun just went down in the west cost(I know I am here) so glad to be that ever present sunshine in your life.

Really kick back and relax, you have two weeks.

I know what it is like however, I am wishing CO flew some puddle jumpers out of SFO to weird places like they do in FLL. I'd be hopping on a 1900D out of FLL if I actually had a week there without plans like I do here now.
