I like to think of teh Box as a great epic, part "Ben Hur", part "10 Commandments", part "Star Wars" and part "Odyssey" (or perhaps, the "Odyssey Part" is more akin to "Pee Wee's Big Adventure";)).

I always viewed it as "History of Teh World, Part II"
