Good evening, Box.

Long time lurker, posting at the Box for the first time. This was a year of little travel, thanks to a reduced budget, but it seems my luck is changing. I'm flying to SFO tomorrow, probably the U.S. city I like the most. One last chace to cross paths with other fellow FTers around.

Leaving day before Thanksgiving. Not sure what my return date is yet. Have to stop in FRA on the way back handle some business.

Surprisingly, most of the flights on US between PHL and CLE are E70s or E75s. I was under the impression that CO had the bulk of market share, but US seems to have more seats, now that the afternoon 737 is gone.

Fares are simply awful to Philly, so I think CO lost interest when people stopped flying it. Most folks I know would rather fly to BWI and drive/train up instead of paying the $600 on the direct flight.

Mrs. MBM3 usually drives to PIT and hops WN for the remainder of the trip.

I hate Cisco.

I run into this quite regularly as a channel partner. The customer name will be on the contract, I have to call up and get my CCO account added to the contract, then I can open support cases under that contract. It's a pain in the a$$, I vocalize about it, but it finally gets done. Course having the CCIE number helps too....

Tell me about it. We usually go to BWI ourselves when we go see my parents; I fly out of PHL only when someone else is paying. ABE used to be an option but is now more expensive than PHL.

It's the sort of route WN should be flying, but I doubt they could generate sufficient demand.

Well, that is a definite, ^. In CLT, US is sooooo expensive. Generally speaking most other airlines are cheaper. I think that I have said it before, but CO out of CLT is generally very inexpensive if booked ahead of time.:-:

RDU is pretty resonable too ^

Yeah I agree, but it is odd that there is not more traffic. I guess us Clevelanders simply tired of the high fares and gave up. Interestingly, however, it used to be a great way to get to the EU on AF. More often then not, when people asked me for advice on reward tickets they were able to find a seat on CLE-PHL-CDG as many agents simply were not aware of the routing.

iTunes works relatively well on my XP but on my Vista laptop, it locks up a lot and is really doggy. I have an iTouch and the seemingly "all or nothing" sync option for photos stinks. I don't necessarily want every picture in a folder, nor every folder in "My Pictures" to be copied to the iTouch. I wish there was a simple drag and drop option on there. I've seen alternative program iPods, but nothing really for the iTouch.

Hmmm, the controversial plan to replace our license plates, cough for safety reasons cough, is suddenly negotiable if the legislature finds a way to produce the revenue the new plates would have generated.

It's driveable, at least from the East Side (door-to-door driving is probably the same amount of time from my house to my parents' place in Orange as it would be to drive to BWI and fly), and BWI and PIT are real alternatives.

The old AF PHL-CDG and vice versa was also a good deal for paid C -- could usually save my clients a couple of thousand dollars per trip vs. US -- but that's probably why they handed over the route to the DL 752.

Interested yes. Able to no.
