I doubt it. I see CO Plat going to 100k.

There just aren't any benefits they can add or take away for a 75k level. Besides, look at how pissed all the Silvers are.

If they were doing this, they should have announced it today and take all the heat at once.

My wife, who is Gold, and I rarely have an issue snagging exit rows at time of purchase.

I think CLE will see more of a hit than IAH simply bc a number of folks didn't mind connecting in ORD.

It's the EWR folks who are going to feel it most. :(

None of that has changed.

The reality is people dislike change and folks are failing to recognize that the airline industry in a state of change. More and more airlines need to be take care of their most loyal passengers.

Sure, a Silver gives business to CO more so than a kettle, but not more so than a Gold and Plat. The business travelers are the ones keeping the airlines alive and people are forgetting that. Honestly, I see within a few years that the 25k tier will go away through the consolidation the industry is likely to face. The 50k and 100k ranks will swell so much that 25k won't even matter.

I agree that CO will re-align to 25/50/100. Hopefully, this means SWU for Plats. CO may also add a fourth, revenue-based, non-published tier called Blanket Services (BS). In addition to being guaranteed a pillow and blanket on their seats, BS members will have their upgrades clear at a T-6 vs T-5 for Plats.

:D

I got the BS treatment on my PHX-EWR flight, though I didn't get the pillow service.

CO should also formalize their version of GS.

Are you trying to apply US logic on CO?!?! :)

If CO was to create a 1k tier and leave Plat, than we'll have the same problem we did a few months ago where there was almost no difference between Gold and Plat.

It's only logical that Plat goes to 100k.

... maybe they accidentally did?

Today I received an email welcoming me to my new elite level for 2010. Here's the funny thing, yesterday I crossed over into 100k EQM land and I had already been welcomed to Plat. last month.

[/conspiracy theories]

Miles-for-upgrade on higher fare-buckets, and GUVs are phased out as of today, in favor of e-GUVs that are confirmable 7 days in advance on BD flights. 1 GUV to go Y-Y+, 3 to go Y-C. All Golds will have 4 e-GUVs deposited in their accounts.

Speaking of which, I have 4 paper GUV with an 30 April 2010. If anyone can use them, let me know.

Ok, I clearly know nothing about the domestic E+ (or similar) offerings. I'll go back to sitting quietly in the corner. :)

Is there such a thing as US logic?

But, yes, I guess I am. I've gone on record on FT saying the best thing to come out of the HP/US kerfuffle was the creation of the forth tier at the 75k level.

It costs them next to nothing, and provides an incentive to capture that extra bit of business from the 80 - 90k / year flier who might defect after hitting 50k to get low status on a back-up airline.

Sweet! Sorry, yes, I meant r/t.

Actually, what about this footnote?

***For Elite members who purchased tickets in Y or B fare classes, all accruals will be based on 500 minimum mile earnings.

Thanks! ^

Our spring break may involve Europe, in which case they could come in handy. I think I have four myself though.

Where is that footnote?

All elites earn the 500 mile minimum and the DEQM doubles that.

I just double checked my OP statement and confirmed, I received 500 miles for IAH-AUS + 500 Double Elite Miles.
