While I like the proposed changes, the exit row thing bothers me greatly.
I've found it increasingly hard to grab exit row seats as a Plat and to think we're just going to open it up to all the UA fliers is going to make it impossible in some cases. |

Hi SF1K, yes, United's Elite customers will have the same access to our Elite instant upgrades for Y and B fares. Additionally, Global Services and 1K members will have access to instant upgrades for M fares just like Continental's Platinum Elite members.

Well, I am off line for a few minutes, and the Earth moves again eh? Add my voice to the chorus that says this will be good for CO and UA elites, and of course, a shout out to our own Mercury of Change, Heathrow Guy for being spot on. Just getting ready to board the plane to JFK, chat all Ya' all when I land!

It is a shame that we have to share our 4-8 (depending on how you look at it) good seats with a pretty large group of elites, but I'm not convinced UA elites are going to flock to CO when they already have E+ and likely live in large UA markets. It may only become an occasional issue on certain routes/days.

So, I suggest those in opposition start voicing. |

Someone in the other thread suggested that UA elites get access to the exit rows and CO elites get access to E+ at check in. Would you be in favor of that as a compromise?

Looks like UA is going to continue to issue the CR1's. Whats next for CO? Keep things as they are or up Plat to 100k and give SWU and CR1's? BTW, how many CR1's do UA 1k's get?

The best way to implement this is for CO to actually admit that their Y product is horrific and create an E+ section. Several airlines have proven that this model has a positive ROI. Not sure why more (in the US) haven't jumped on the bandwagon. Oh, right. Because US airlines are opposed to making money. |

Both programs are going to create a 4th tier. A 75k at UA and a 100k at CO. |

CO needs to spend some time working on their interactive route map... It makes no sense.
