Sadly that will go over most people's head.

Some of these posts are hysterical! People need to realize that there is more to life than the elite benefits of their FFP.

Where is that footnote?

All elites earn the 500 mile minimum and the DEQM doubles that.

I just double checked my OP statement and confirmed, I received 500 miles for IAH-AUS + 500 Double Elite Miles.

Footnote is here:

http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...fareClass.aspx

Seems to imply that only Y/B classes would earn the 500 miles.

Miles-for-upgrade on higher fare-buckets, and GUVs are phased out as of today, in favor of e-GUVs that are confirmable 7 days in advance on BD flights. 1 GUV to go Y-Y+, 3 to go Y-C. All Golds will have 4 e-GUVs deposited in their accounts.

Not all good. eGUVs mean no more trading/hording them. One the plus side, you can now have your nanny and security staff as part of your family account.

Thanks! ^

It means that the RDM elite bonus is calculated on the 500 minimum rather than the actual. That is a moot point now, though, as all bonuses are going to be calculated on the 500 minimum either as of Oct 27th or Jan 1; I don't remember exactly which and I don't feel like looking it up.

Is that the number that they disconnected?

Oh crap, I have a CR-1 expiring this month.

Anyone flying UA this month?

Website is incorrect.

IIRC the RDM bonus will be calculated as a percentage of actual miles flown, however.

Wish I would have known. I'm chose CO over UA for my MR so I had a chance at sitting up front. :)

Guess I need to buy a pot-bellied-pig, create a Diamond Club account for it, and start taking Q-UPs with it. :-:

Meh. It does wonders to point out the UA crowd's insistence on being different.

It does get taken way too seriously. Would you rather have a program that occasionally does something you don't like, or would you rather have no airline to fly on? Many of these moves, in the end, are about survival in the market. And don't even get me started about the UA elites that love to book craploads of miles for some ridiculously low fare and then claim that they want the airline to succeed. The M+ crowd absolutely gets nothing short of joy in seeing just how hard they can screw UA today. If you really want your airline of choice to succeed, you'll have some f-ing integrity and not exploit the loopholes even though you know that they are there.

The decision's been made. Accept it.

We're far better off focusing on future implementations to deal with inequalities then whining about what's already been done.

What will CO with regards to SWUs?
Will CO install their own version of E+?

--that's what we need to be focusing on.

Also happy (slightly late) birthday, CM! :D
