Does E+ tend to fill up quickly on elite heavy routes?

I've never seen E+ full (with elites) on a UA flight. Any flight. Domestic. International. Anything.

Yes, we got lounge access at both HKG and TYO Conrads. The view from the HKG was AMAZING but not so much at TYO (lobby bar overlooks bay). Service at both was top notch.

Thanks, as these are both likely to go from 40->60K per night might be a good use. But as a lowly Silver, am guessing talking my way into the lounge will be an effort in "INP"

Yeah, I feel like CO might have lost out a little on the negotiations there. Scott mentioned that the reason is that with the large gap between Premiere Exec (50k) and 1K there are a lot of Premier Execs that actually have more EQMs than CO Plats.

Next step - a 4th elite tier for CO in 2011.

The big plus is 34" of pitch on the longhaul flights.

I thought Premier Executive was 2P? I could be wrong.

34" of pitch in Y is good, but I really need 36. So I'll continue traveling less because I have to pay for C or F, sigh.

I wonder how upgrades are going to work on the P.S. routes?

You'll have to use miles.

Same here, I suppose. Although, being EWR-based makes it difficult to consider anything but CO for most international travel.

The E+ seating is definitely a big win for CO elites (and a slap in the face for UA elites)! On the other hand, I am unsure about how the domestic upgrades will play out - only time will tell.

I will withhold judgement until the program is implemented, but beyond E+ this seems to be similar to the old NWCO program.

I also agree that this will more benefit CLE & IAH elites as it opens up a number of different opportunities for international and domestic flights. You better believe that I would look at UA for most of my west coast flights that I usually end up in back on CO. International will be a no brainer if the cost is in the same neighborhood. I just do not like the exit row seats on the wide bodies as they are reduced width and pax congregate.

Good to know. I don't fly UA much at all, so I wasn't sure if allowing CO elites access to these seats would cause issues with elites from both carriers not being able to actually sit in E+.

Bottom line is that UA elites will likely continue to favor UA metal and CO elites will likely continue to favor CO metal so most of these changes aren't going to cause major issues.

And I am fine with that change.

Overall I tend to agree with you.

Exactly. I'll go through IAD or ORD to get to MUC in E+, hands down.

Definitely - I'm not sure many could argue with this. If my travel patterns continue and DEQMs disappear, it's unlikely that I'd reach 100k EQMs, but that's life.

Ask in advance. Never hurts.

The Box is wonderful during times like this. We can all discuss changes without losing our minds. :p

I'm holding a room there with points for now(12/26). My plan was to use my free SPG weekend night cert-expires 12/27.
I got a tractor-trailer load of "is not possible" from the Canuck SPG agent, last night.

Do you have a scuba suit?

Are you going to pull off the Scuba Diver?
