I will give them credit for improving their service in a lot of areas, but some of the hard-core US elites I've met seem to be stuck in what I've always called the "Taco Bell Syndrome."

Well, baglady pointed out that I would be blacklisted from 'everyone's' companion upgrade list -- but sbm12 kindly pointed out that I was not blacklisted from his!;):D :D Kraft mac and cheese is sooooo disgusting! But, the kids all seem to love it! |

Actually, customer relations did call back and basically told me to pound sand.
I think the best was when they insisted that it is impossible for them to check you in for a code share flight. And when I pointed out that it's been done before they guy just glossed over it. |

Good luck to those of us with CO 777s in our itineraries in the near future. I think we'll need it.

Getting UA to fix my screwup with redeeming 15,000 miles for an upgrade on an IAD-ATL flight tomorrow instead of a single E-500 was surprisingly easy and pleasant. No wait for an agent, and was immediately connected to someone who was super friendly and helpful and took about three minutes to undo my online check-in, remove the waitlisted upgrade on my LAX-IAD flight, refund the miles, and fix the IAD-ATL flight. One of the best phone transactions I've ever had with any airline from start to finish.

Hello to the Box! Longtime lurker, first-time poster.
My addiction to the awesomeness that is the Box wouldn't let me stay a silent lurker any longer. For now, that is all. (Well, except for apologizing for being a United whore. I expect a customary hazing to begin shortly). :D I'm not a hazer!:D |

...You'll get almost 14,000 points, three continental breakfasts, some Portico toiletries, a Platinum Extra, and two nights at PH Tokyo for $400. Not a haul I would complain about. Even if they won't add you to the promotion for those last 7,500, I wouldn't be unhappy.
I've got 2 other nights over there, guess I'll burn me some(80,000) HH points and see what the Conrad Tokyo's like or maybe the IC |
