Remember the 39-59-79 ads and three menu boards in the restaurants, with items organized by price?

My best Taco Bell college memory — pulling up to the drive-thru window around 1:00 AM with a friend and ordering three of everything on the menu, and being able to pay for it all with two $20 bills, and still getting change back.

We didn't eat much for two days after that. I think some of the damage to our digestive systems was permanent.

I'm watching World's Dumbest Criminals, and I saw the Wall of Death along with the nitwit who lit an acetelyne torch at a gas station. In a perfect world, that guy would have detonated himself. :rolleyes:

FWIW, the calls I've made to CO over the years were handled equally well.

I used to take issue with UA on a lot of things, but it's rare lately that I have anything but an excellent experience in traveling with them. I'm actually quite happy to have them as a partner with CO now as opposed to DL, where I always seem to have quite the opposite experience.

Well, dealing with the airport folk for this won't be useful, it's corporate that i'm fighting with.

But I may come back and ask for some more to build my arsenal. Those numbers will definitely come in handy at some point. :D

The one thing I will say, as a 1K, the UA agents are far more empowered to fix things than any CO agent i've encountered.

Now, there was one amazing occurrence with CO recently. I was booking a EWR-LHR-FRA-EWR trip for next week. The only J options with standard rewards were EWR-GLA-LHR, which I was perfectly fine with. So I booked it. Well, I found a better return itin and wanted to grab it and called CO. I was changing the return from C to F and the agent had to get a manager, no biggie.

Well the agent comes back and says "the manager wants to know if you want to take the nonstop, he'll open a seat for you". And voila, he did. I was floored.

Hopefully they have those squared away by Jan when I do my next NRT run.

I heard aircraft 13 had new lay-flat seating problems and an APU that didn't run for the required minimum and/or maxium time to do ETOPS. I understand they got the APU issue fixed but not so sure on how the seat problems are doing.

I have the power to do that too. (I know that phone number too. :D)

I'm down to 60,000 HH after Versailles. Did I mention that the FFN I need to earn for the Olympics and get four stay credits in 2010 is costing a combined total of $119 for two stays after tax with a G1, two diamond point amenities, two breakfasts, etc.? I love D.C. area Hyatts over the holidays ^

Congrats - I can't pull two airlines at top-tier outright (hadn't pulled any before 2009) but hope I'll be able to renew BD and SkyTeam USA next year.
