Oh my. Well, when the rates do dip, it is a great hotel.

I hear the W is offering wicked low rates. Ch. 11 specials or something.

They insist they are not closing. We'll see, but I can't see that one surviving. The other hotel in the same boat is the W Scottsdale.

I'll be glad when the W Scottsdale disappears, that was an awful customer service experience.

How strict is the W hotel store with the employee discount code? We may order a bed and 40% off makes it cheaper than any piece of crap I could get at the mattress stores and that bed is not a piece of crap.

Not very.

Though, having slept on the W bed and my Costco-purchased bed, I actually prefer the Costco bed.

Not to mention the Costco mattress program has excellent customer service. In 8 years they've replaced the bed twice at no cost and no questions.

Assuming it's a quality mattress, $1450 isn't bad for a king set.

The Hampton bed is pretty much like NyQuil. I sleep better in a Hampton bed than I do my own.

Just got home from seeing Men Who Stare at Goats. That movie is effing strange. Funny, but very, very strange.

There was also an extended trailer for Up in the Air. Looks really fun, though the missus wants nothing to do with it.

My mother thought the goat movie was really about goats initially. :D My other half has ridiculed me over the desire to see UITA. If I'm not in FLL for Christmas, I'd absolutely be at the Box UITA Do.

I purchased my bed from Sam's Club and count not be happier. ^

From what I've read, mattress warranties are just about as useful as tire warranties. ;)

Normally, I would agree with you. But, as I said in the other post, Costco is amazing.

I've had them replace mattresses twice due to sagging. All you have to do is call them, cut the tags, mail them in and they order a new one from the factory.

I've had other friends who have bought their mattresses elsewhere and they've had to deal with an inspector and it's just a pita.

I know I paid under $1k for my mattress set from Costco as they put them on sale every few weeks.

I saw 2012 today. Since I'm a special effects nut I wasn't expecting anything spectacular from a movie standpoint and thus was not disappointed. Special effects were great though. Still, if you haven't seen it yet, watching it on DVD will be fine.

Yes, I am looking forward to seeing 2012 on DVD! Very interesting topic for me!:-:

We just might have to do a DO for that movie. I'm sure it will be at the Loews on Rt 1 in Edison which is close to the Edison train station so any train people can be picked up and such.

There may already be something in conjunction w/the CondeNast Traveler article that will appear in the Feb issue -- about the movie & the MegaDO!:-: However it's not likely to happen until sometime in Jan.

Otherwise a screening 'miniDO' is certainly a great idea!!^:-:

I forgot Costco sold mattresses. You're right, they are amazing when it comes to returns on any item for any reason.

I'm also frying Vermont Maple-Glazed Breakfast Sausages in Bacon Grease whilst I wait for the stew to get ready. :)

I remember my first time in a Hampton bed. It was installed that day. That was one of the best night sleeps I ever had. That's why I got a Serta Perfect Sleeper (bought on sale a Sleepy's)

I know one indy place near me that's likely to get in on the 4th or the 11th but it's not in a good place and it's a old style place that doesn't have much of a sloped floor.
