Good morning box.

sdm1130 Nov 16, 2009 6:35 am

It looks like FT has returned to the  zone this morning.

I don't know if it's real, but you did say you would do it. Might be time to sign up for email alerts for Ticketmaster.de.

Morning, Box.

Clearly I need sleep. Defecate and then fornicate to celebrate. :)

As long as the fornication isn't reasonably close to the defecation.

Of course not, that's not my kink. :)

I love it and I have it on my laptop along with the Sunday Ticket thing and never even looked at it since I used the service only to follow the Giants games while I was in Europe. I will investigate whether my cable company has it as an option because I am sure that it will look even better on a 50" screen than on the 11 incher that I used today.

Verizon Fi:rolleyes:S offers it as a subscription option in SE PA; I would assume they do in NJ or FL as well, though their packages are reportedly different in NJ than they are elsewhere.

I would like to be included in this group (as would GTITAN too, I assume). I live in one of their hub cities and go out of my way not to fly them if there are any other reasonable options.

Several years ago, US switched from SABRE to HP's legacy systems to save money. This led to several months of systems issues that affected their operations and even today they're still not up to snuff. Their IT group is less than competent, and I'm not surprised to hear that their agents couldn't help you with a complicated ticket.

For icurhere2 or any other Hyatt aficionado, what is the Andaz brand positioning? Might stay at the one in W Hollywood (though I will actually pay, not the $0 rate) next month.

Altho the difference between those two is only a few inches...

Not going any further with that. /shudder

Good morning, box. 20 degrees outside, snow and ice on the ground. :D^

Ok, this one I have to write about, but I'm not going to start a new thread for it.

Did 299 IAHDEN tonight. Once in the air, asked for coffee with cream and received same. First FA asked if I wanted a refill, and I received same. After emptying that, second FA comes and takes cup, never asks if I want a refill. :( I go to the galley and mention that I really wanted a refill. First FA brings me a new cup. I finish that. Now a *third* FA comes and takes the cup without asking if I want a refill. :( Again I have to get up and ask for another refill, and again first FA brings me a fresh cup.

I really don't know what to say. Just wow.

This is a challenge in any part of the service industry. You want your staff to clear extra items but they have to confirm that the person doesnt need a refill.

I have found lately that my service staff doesnt seem to have the ability to talk with adults if they need anything else or etc. I almost think this is partly due to the fact that they have grown up with IM and email and thus human interaction is difficult for them at times.

So sad but ever so true.

Aloha.

Thanks for keepin' up the proxy posting whilst I was away, :rolleyes:v.

For everyone keeping score at home, the party this weekend only had one supremely awkward moment but I survived unscathed. :-: It was almost as awkward as when the Canuck, out of left field, told C:rolleyes: 1E about how one of her students has a foot fetish.

The Fairfax, while a nice hotel, probably wins in having the rudest service of any :-:wood property. And that's saying a lot. The valet's reaction after almost running over the Canuck (no joke) was "why did you walk in front of a car?" I guess he failed to consider that the car was parked when we walked in front of it and we didn't expect him to jump into the driver's seat and jam on the gas to see what the 0-60 timing was.

fozz, sorry about your US experience. But, that's exactly what it was, a US experience. When things go smoothly they're an okay airline. It's when something goes wrong that they are truly incompetent.
