Plus1 is on his way back from DAL on WN. Original flight delayed so they put him on standby and he got on, last ones to put their bags in the overhead. I still hate WN though.

We were offered a $200 bump at check-in. Every other FL destination is sold out for this evening though. If the gate goes to $500 I'll take it.

BL JR is very upset because she wasn't invited to a birthday party of one of her classmates who passed out invitations today. Don't parents know (at this age) that you either invite the entire class or you send invitations outside of school so there are no hurt feelings? :rolleyes:

Obviously not. Hey, I realize she's going to get her feelings hurt a million times over the next few years and I can only do what I can do to keep her from becoming a mean girl.

I gave out birthday party invites during class. My mother taught me (drilled into me, really) the meaning of being discrete.

I would - when I'm in an oversell I look at anything over 300 as icing on the cake.

We would essentially miss a half day of vacation and the gate people aren't the nicest.

I am not a big fan of the headrests on the DirecTV planes, they bulge too much at the edges.
