We found LIS and its surroundings to be more to our taste than MAD. The people are more accepting and laid back and IMO the area just seems to be more manageable for a short tourist visit than does that big city.

CM - Congrats on getting the certificate! A great teacher I knew said he always wore a tie to the first day of classes to set the right tone. You may want to consider that or a variant.

Just got back from the Pat Benatar concert in the city. When I picked up my tickets, they told me that I have VIP backstage access and I get to meet Pat Benatar and Neil Geralado. I have to say I was not that excited and was thinking of bailing, but it turned out to be a really cool event which inclued lots of hot and cold appetizers and COMPLIMENTARY top shelf liquor. ^
Thanks CO and Chase for a  night ^ |

Nightline had a story about a street in Paris that they are cracking down on people that urinate in the street.
How did they know? The urine detector in the elevator, of course. The other half is back from Chicago, steamed about some problem with the security lines, not having access to an elite line, or something. That's what she gets for flying AA out of ORD, just to avoid IAH. Just one of the stories we're following, as Blitzer might say. Good night. |
